Elite Raiders is just a shell of what it used to be. Pyce is gone and will probably stay gone for a LONG time.

Look for Kally, Spetz, Fatty, Huck, and others in their new guild, "The Epic Raiders."

Been away for 3-4 years... Was thinking of checking it out a bit., so I logged in the other day. I notice all the feats/AP/ etc are different, had to totally redo the couple of toons I logged into. Probably totally gimped them, but who cares, lol. Nothing new for me..Any cool newer quests to mess around soloing til I get my twitch skills back?

It's Buki. I recently came back in the EXACT same situation as you: 4 year break and a bit disconnected from things. Frets and the ER crew (of which there are most certainly more than just him and SD) did a amazing job getting me interested in the game again and back up to speed.

As for your casual comments, who cares, we're all casuals nowadays. Come put your tags back on and run with the old crew again!

Well, I went out messing around soloing Epic 3 barrel cove with my lvl20 sorc.. killed a named airship,. Is there a way for me to repair a ballista to make those things easier to kill? also.. is it even worth soloing for named encounters out there? Anything worth getting?

The ballistas are broken until an airship appears nearby I believe. There should be working ballistas nearby the airship when it attacks.

YES - killing rares/airships in E3bc is totally worth it. Any red name has the chance to drop some awesome BTA items:

I didn't know about the ballista until AFTER I killed the airship just by blasting it with spells.. lol... those ballista make it a lot easier, although when soloing it's at least a little fun because of constant mobs coming down the anchor chains.

A balista being broken tells that there is no rare at that spot, you can't repair it. A working balista means that there's an airship somewhere nearby. 3bc rares might be worth doing since they drop named items, with Orcish Privateer Boots being most interesting there. But do not take your lvl 20s (solo) to Epic Elite quests in 3bc since those are fairly tough.

Another thing.. I have +20 hearts of wood on just about every character... does that mean I can switch straight from a lvl 20 of one class to being a lvl 20 of another? If so, I may turn one of my tools into a cleric.

means that you can change up to 20 levels of class choices during one reincarnation - providing you don't EVER have more than 3 classes (plus epic) at once.

Game still requires skill - and it is always nice to have a healer and CC / nuker along with your Barbershop quartet!

I've been running around on Malachus mostly, just a lowly lvl 8 druid.. that class didn't exist back when I played, so I figured I'd try it out, but I've also been soloing Epic 3bc on my sorc cartaras just looking for cool new stuff that I couldn't use for 5 levels.. lol

Be wary of champions--on hard or elite settings they spawn--they will have a Basquiat golden crown over there heads.

Welcome back Boldrin, I think we stopped playing basically at the same time because when I left, the level cap was still level 20 and the first expansion pack wasn't available yet. I came back a little bit more than 2 months ago and I also started with with a druid that I leveled to 10.

Hey Boldrin Its good seeing you again. I'd say the game is a lot better than it was say 3-4 years ago. So you outta have a lot of fun this time around, with all the changes and new areas/quest's to explore and master. etc. Tho, one thing that hasn't changed in the game is the xp grind. Its been quite easy for me to become addicted to character leveling, and the TR'in part of the game. lol

this is a late for this thread the must have spell you need for any class is regen cocoon. if your toon does not have mana get a mana augment. and slot it in. you will have to twist regen cocoon into your epic destines.

I think he is upgrading computer. at lest I hope he is a fun person to listen to in a raid. at lest i get a good laugh. I was looking forward to it.
