So after a nice years break from the game, it's time to not have a life again!

So i've reinstalled the game to the same laptop as I had last time, rebooted the laptop completely first aswell so everythings clean! So as my VIP has ran out as It's been a long while I have to select 4 of my characters from the 6 I have until I get enough slots back. So I selected the ones I want & click accept. Then the characters menu on the side to select a character is still dulled and I'm unable to select one and login. So I wait as I'm thinking theres some lag and after several attempts everytime after a minute or two I get - "Connection to the server has been lost."

So I need some help? I put all my graphics on low and no luck. Used the ddopreload & no luck either. So what now?
