Awrighty, howsabout a gimped out twf build?

Ranger / FvS / FtR

Or Ranger / Cleric (Warpriest) / FtR

Elf.

The idea is to use tah elf tree fer DEX and go DEX / WIS / CON.

Scim focus in tah elf tree n tha ranger tree and aerenal (undying court) in cleric yellow feats for the raise dead ability.

Omit the fighter stuffus, just using that fer some additional HP and BAB. Also crit or power attack but likely not.

Bland? Yeah maybe. I've found it kinda fun tho.



Sooo, thoughts? Advice? Screaming infidelities?

There are two issues with this build concept:

• If you go DEX-based, you're missing out on the DPS bonus from Div Might. You also have to spend at least 18 APs in elf tree for Grace, which limits your other options.
• If you go Undying Court + Valenar for scimitar bonuses, you miss out on the longbow bonuses from Aerenal. Given that you'll have full set of ranged feats from rgr 11+, it seems a pity not to use longbows w/MS+IPS. OTOH, if you go Aerenal, you either miss out on Righteous Weapons with rapiers or have to use the sub-optimal longsword / Sovereign Host option. [Or go Silver Flame for longbow bonuses.] I actually think UC works better on, say, a HE w/rog dilly for some extra SA.

Ah right, I forgot to mention I don't bother with epic-specced builds much but you're right; the DEX thing is already good for scims in the tempest tree, so barring grace I can save at least 10 ap give or take. And I don't wanna go Longbow cuz I've done various bow builds already (Love em but ehhhh). Also, the smidgen of fighter was to offset feat loss and I figured that Div Might wasn't going to be worth much if I went elf anyway. TWF human maybe.

And yeah, the Sov Host thingie always feels a bit underwhelming. If it was for Longswords I'd do another build altogether. I do love me some Warpriest though, so I'll check yer thread. Bard / Warpriest as Drow? Great fun.

how about something a little less gimped but with much the same concept, an 11/5/4 cleric(or fvs doesn't really matter) 5 ranger 4 paladin


Get dance of death from tempest tree and +10 PRR, doesn't matter what else here, sprint boost is nice though.
+6 STR +20% hp +25 PRR +3 saves and +10% movement speed from stalwart defender, and look there you suddenly have a not too shabby melee build
