While some of the older raids have lost a lot of popularity, it seems there are people who are still interested in running them on Thelanis. In recent weeks, I've seen people post groups for LoB (it looked like they ended up duoing it), ToD (shorhanded), Abbot (looks like they had issues filling). I myself have led mostly full runs of Abbot and Titan this past weekend.
With Easter coming up this weekend, I've got a bit of spare time, so I'll do a little experiment to test how popular this older raid content is. I'll post a group for all the pre-MotU raids (minus Tempest's Spine) and see how far we can get. Subject to when I get my weekend chores done, I'll be posting the train Saturday, April 4, around 13:00 Eastern (17:00 UTC).
My plan is to go roughly in this order, with difficulties subject to change depending on the group composition (I'm planning on minimal filling time for raids with lockouts, 10-15 minutes or so):
- VoN 5-6 (EE)
- Chrono (EE)
- VoD (Elite)
- HoX (Elite or Norm)
- Reaver (Elite)
- Shroud (Elite)
- ToD (Elite)
- Abbot (Elite)
- Titan (Elite)
- LoB (EN)
- MA (EN)--I'm actually a little unclear on how to run this, so unless someone joins who can lead it, we may have to muddle through it as best we can or skip it.
- DQ (EE)
I will be on my Cleric 28, so BB is improbable and joiners may lose streak if we end up not getting a party capable of tackling EE. Even though I will be on a Cleric, anyone joining is advised to bring some self-sufficiency, since if we don't get enough people to handle the jobs needed, I may have to task myself to do stuff out of range of the party (e.g., kiting dogs).
It doesn't matter if you don't know the raids. While they won't be teaching runs per se, anything you need to know will be typed out in English and I will assign you a job you can handle. If you need ingredients for ToD boots I can probably help you out.
