Was going thru my bank toon, looking for some gear for one of my characters ... and I stumbled upon something I had not noticed before...




Apparently, unbeknowenst to me.. it had changed from non bound to BTCOA... which is surprising to say the least, now I can't take it out of the bank to use on a character, and then put it back after that character has outleveled that particular item, so I can store it to be used on another particular character..

I mean I know the updated versions are all BTCOA, but prior to this, I had never had an issue with the PRE-updated one being changed...

Anyone else find this... odd...to say the least...that an item that has been in game since before the level cap went up to 12, has all of a sudden been changed to accommodate some new update?

Erm am I seeing a level 2 maelstrom? The changed version of the weapon is level 8 and unfortunately I guess they changed yours when they put the augments on the newest version.

Just because it says Bound to Character doesn't mean it is. Mine has said that since the change and I've gladly traded it to alts to use on lowbie lives and traded to guildies who have used it and returned it also.

Yes that's the original lvl 2 Maelstrom, I've had that particular Axe for well over 5 years.

LOL well I doubt you will get a dev response. But a few others who already know this might post up here. Otherwise only other advice is remove it on an alt who does use greataxes and see.

I have noticed the same thing after they made the changes and my level 2 version may say "binds to character on acquire", yet it didn't bind when I took it out of the shared bank or actually used it on a couple of past lives. It still can be placed in the shared bank and used on other alts.
