Default Having an issue with Character Copy

I copied one of my characters over from Sarlona but realized that I forgot to move some of his epic gear from the TR cache to his bank. Since I wanted to lvl him up to 28 to run the epic TOEE, I figured I'd just copy him over a second time. So, to avoid a naming issue, I deleted the character I just copied over, grabbed the stuff he needs from the TR cache and tried to copy him again.

During the copy process, I get the warning that the name already exists and then after several minutes the copy fails. I tried it 3 or 4 times last night.

I thought maybe I hadn't given the server enough time to complete the deletion, so I waiting till this morning to try it again and got the same results.

    Thanks

Sorry man but you are out of luck.
You can only copy a character one time until they do another server wipe of Lama.
    Conn Niall Paladin
    Cormac Mac Airt Ranger/Rogue
If it is a Paladin with some version of Conn.... it is probably me.

Unfortunately, the poster above me is correct.

When you copy a character over to Lamannia, it stores part of that data on Lamannia until we do a full character wipe even if you delete it.

That is sad. Then perhaps the wording on the copy tool should be changed to reflect that fact.

Is there anyway you can un-delete the character?

Once a character has been copied to Lamannia, you'll not be able to copy that character over from live again until we do another character wipe. I have personally had - some - success in doing the opposite of what I've just said, including the delete on Lamannia/recopy from live, but the copy system is technically not meant to work that way.

To reiterate the two most common issues that cause copy problems to Lamannia:

    1. You haven't logged into the character in a while. Log in on live, log back out, then try a copy. This'll fix 80% of the issues.
    2. You have an item conflict (this could very well be your issue, if you are moving gear around.) If character A has item X, and you copy character A to Lamannia, you cannot then send item X to character B and copy character B to Lamannia.
Have fun, and don't forget to gather for buffs!

Actually the item I moved around was the Pinion from the TR Cache to the Characters bank. No other character was involved. since I cant move the pinion back to the Cache or anywhere else, I guess the only thing to do is for y'all to do a character wipe. I'm sure everyone will understand the urgent need to do that to accommodate me.

In all seriousness, I do think it would be a good idea to say this on the character Copy Page.

In any case, thanks for taking time to clarifying it for me.
