Reincarnation Process, it expires?

So.. I've changed my mind right before I used my heart of wood... .__.
I planned to reincarnate my bard, I do have the option to Reincarnate on my character screen, but I don't feel like doing that today. Maybe nor for weeks, nor for months; because I'm realized that I can use that character's slot on Warlock's release, and in the meantime play with my other characters.
my questions are
Do I have to reincarnate in a short, long period of time?
my Heart of wood will expire if not?

No, there is no time limit. If you've flagged your character for reincarnation, it will stay flagged until you actually reincarnate.
