Melee Sorc PL build help

I am getting my ranger PL done right now. Afterwards I need Sorc and I am completionist. I have played Sorcs in traditional caster specs and want something different.

What I am currently leaning to...

A melee spec with a majority of levels in sorc for the PL but could care less about the class split. I have a good 2h weapon (SoS) good 1h GS weapons (Lit2 Khopeshesx2) a good staff (Min2 GS and Sireth fully upgraded) and some light weapons (Tieflings blade/Widowmaker/Razorend/TF Rapiers&shortswords).
I have ALL races and classes open and I am ViP.

I did an EK with my wizard life quite awhile back going wiz/rogue-acrobat and going staff. Kinda leaning to the same idea just not sure how viable it would be.

I think I want a regular heroic race so I can level to 28 and then eTR and hTR back to whatever I want my final life.

Could a Sorc/Bard be made into anything to be destructive with light weapons?

Right now I think one of the best templates for HTRing is bard 3-5 / ftr 1-4 / <PL> 11-16; largely depending on how many lvls in your PL class you want and which T5 abilities you want to take. Swashbuckling crit bonuses are front-loaded, whereas other classes tend to have to wait for higher lvls to get their best goodies. If you've got a TAB in your TR cache, that's pretty much ideal for a Swashie at lvl 4.

Yeah I do have the Tieflings Blade.

I was actually thinking of something similar to this but wasn't sure how it would play out. I was thinking 5Bard/3Fighter/12Sorc for lvl 6 spells.
