    Default Sorc/Exalted Angel Question

I'm thinking of rolling a sorc and running him in EA and speccing for enchantment. Can anyone estimate how much dps I will give up from DI in exchange for higher DC's?

IMO exalted angel is only a good destiny for necro specs. Getting an enchantment dc of 63 - 67 really isn't that hard. And I would consider that dc pretty good for the higher ee's.

You can probably get an extra 5 charisma and 3 dc's for about 6 dc's, but it won't be worth it. The DC of enchant is already pretty easy to get without ea and it is not worth giving up 30 spell power, 3 mcl/cl, and dragons breath.

Though EA does have some good stuff you can use without needing to twist it in should you run in it.

Soundburst SLA for example does for some good CC (don't know if EA boosts it'd DCs though)

I should add that I have 4 3 2 1 twist split available...so I can twist the 30 spell power and eburst....or i could do 4 4 1 1 and twist eburst and sense weakness. My plan would be to go 20sorc human Earth Savant, with 31points in the harper tree for more spell power, and also be specced for light damage.

    does this change anything

I tried a build in EA with main Earth Savant and a deep investment into harper.
Honestly, it was terrible compared to the other savants.
4 3 2 1 gives you an excellent setup for playing in EA. EBurst, Empyrian Magic, Specialist from Magister, Cocoon.

Going enchant is probably really overkill, seeing you are completionist, even without the 2 feats and twist your enchant DC should be around 67 in EA.
I don't know where you would need 72 enchant really..
Necromancy is probably really interesting if you go EA.

But yea, pick a different savant, earth is OK as secondary I'd say, with Fire as main savant for example.

Earth Savant is good because it allows you to stay in your main ED for Mark of Death, but you could get this immunity and still spec properly in the Fire Savant tree. As far as DI vs EA is concerned DI has much better damage output and if you're a completionist then between Wiz PL, bard PL spell focus enchant imp spell focus enchant epic spell focus enchant and the completionist feat you should have no trouble with DCs
