    Default Epic Destiny Question

I am a sorcerer with 1 past life. The only epic destiny I have progress in is Magister. I want access to shiradi ASAP. Can I dip 6 levels of ranger, claim the destiny, then TR again to pure sorcerer and have it unlocked in that manner?

I know completing the path of ED's is good to have twists, just want to know about this method specifically.

    Copied from the wiki:

"At level 20 you pick an Epic Destiny on the map UI. Destinies are organized in 4 different spheres here. You can start in any Destiny in a sphere where you have a matching heroic class with at least 6 levels. This choice happens only once for a character. To change destiny afterward, you'll need to unlock other destinies."

So, the answer would be no. You could use keys of destiny to unlock adjacent destinies but that could be expensive if you want to go from magister to shiradi. Either that or just earn XP through to shiradi and take advantage of unlocking your twists of fate.

So to clarify, when I hit level 20 in this life, I'm FORCED to select magister, despite it being a new life?

No. To clarify, you don't get another opportunity to select anything. Whatever destinies you had unlocked in your previous lives will still be unlocked. If that means only magister, than that is what you will have available to play. You will not be given a choice of which destiny to enter regardless of class levels on your new life.
