Default Why Have I been Banned?

I received a Banned message today and have yet to receive and email stating why or for how long I have been banned. Needless to say i am very unhappy especially considering I don't know what I did that was a bannable offence.

I don't think you'll get an answer here on the forums. You could try sending Cordovan a PM, but you're better off trying to get hold of customer services by phone. If you're not continental US I know that's a huge ask but there doesn't seem to be any other way to get hold of them if you want a speedy reply.

I'm not from the US so it's practically impossible for me to call them...

Guess I'll just find some other game to play if that ban is over 1 week

I would recommend you try to contact the support nevertheless and find out what the problem was. Either to avoid the issue or to right a wrong. If you are not joinsing for the game, contact via email should work for you.

Sounds like your ban was placed by a GM in-game. To submit a ban appeal/ask for more info, submit a ticket using the link in my signature and select "Ban / Moderation Appeal" as your question type.
I do respond to PMs, but please note that I can get backed up. If you need immediate assistance, please refer to the links below!

Anyway a ban message should be followed by the "reason" why the ban was issued, otherwise imo we are back to the dark ages.

Actually it will be against their policy to state the reason why a person was banned. Doing so would entice the banned player to complain more than if they don't know. After banning explanations can be given out, but usually not beforehand. It isn't a warning during banning thing. Usually you have warnings well before the banning. If someone feels their ban was in error, that is what the process and tickets cover. Otherwise most people banned have a pretty good idea why they were banned.

Yea...like the people who were caught up in the Mayban fiasco a few years ago. I think a lot of people still don't know why they were banned back then.

And don't forget that by the time they "try" and appeal to find out the reason they were banned, the ban will be already over most likely by then.
