This game does excel at obfuscation. Figures that it'd be good at something that irritates the player base.
Firstly, the permanent fate points always go away after I close the app. So, always an error when I open because it resets to 12.
I think the crux of your problem* involved this statement in Lynn's post: "The current maximum Fate Points is 55: 36 from unlocking trees + 16 from Epic Past Lives + 3 from a Tome of Fate. This means that you will start with up to 18 Permanent Destiny Points from Fate at level 20 (+1 extra Fate Point)." I think that may have been accurate when u51 first dropped, but the current maximum 64 and what isn't reflected in Lynn's statement is that Epic Past Life Feats contribute to AP both directly and via Fate Points.
- Directly: 1 AP for every 12 Epic past lives
- Fate Points: 1 AP per 3 Fate Points, 1 Fate Point per 3 Epic past lives = 1 AP per 9 Epic past lives
So,

So extrapolating that, when 54 epls are possbible, it should move up to 65ap and to 66ap at 60epls
I hope that helps. Be nice if someone else could provide citations from developers. It'd also be nice if the terminology used was better chosen.
Cheers and thanks for all your hard work
*I could be wrong because the devs don't go back and correct their posts to reflect changes, misstatements on their part, or just poor wording
#I grabbed that info and table from the wiki(
https://ddowiki.com/page/Epic_Destinies). I am pretty sure that is correct, as my character with 48epls has 64destiny ap to spend.
