    Default 4.0.0 - U51 Destiny Updates

    4.0.0 - U51 Destiny Updates
    Changes:

Updates to support U51's Destiny Updates.

    • Reformatted Destiny.txt
    • Created a new Destiny page to work with U51 3 Destiny system
    • Updated outputs to match U51
    • Destinies now only track Permenant Destiny Points, not Fate Points. This makes the use of Destinies simpler since FP's are just left around for legacy purposes.
    • Revamped Requirements to make them work with selectors better. This update works for both Destinies and Enhancements, although Destinies currently have no requirements outside their own tree.

    Added new spells

    • Thanks to yhelm123

    Fixed Ravager T5 Critical Rage

    • Thanks to SouCarioca

    Notes:

    • There is no leveling guide for Destinies. I'll see if I can implement it in the future - should be similar in functionality to Enhancements LG.
    • There is no tree crawler for the Destinies yet.
    • Destiny names and descriptions are still being updated by SSG. Expect issues with saved files until the SSG updates settle down.
    • There may be lots of corner case bugs. Please enter them in the issues tracker

    Compendium

    • Added Dread Sea Scrolls

Firstly tyvm. I've been looking forward to this update. It's nice to have it in hand.

I did notice that there seems to be a problem(s) with the barbarian trees and required feats. Both Barbarian Power Attack (requires Power Attack) from Ravager and Angry Arms/Mad Munitions (require Greater THF) from Frenzied Berzerker are showing up as out of bounds despite the feats in question having been chosen.

I haven't really had a chance to check into this, just downloaded the update and it was on the first build I looked at. So, no idea if this is specific to Barbarian or part of a larger issue.

Regardless, thanks again and all the best

Yeah, I can confirm it's not saving the level 22 and 25 Destiny feats. I've tried on multiple builds, multiple times each, always the same.

OK, I don't know when this was added to the Quests Compendium, but I *love* having the Challenge/Total Favor at the bottom! No idea if it's new or been there for a year and I just noticed, but it's great.

Also, thanks for all the work put into revamping the ED section of the character planner!

    Default Destinies.txt Update

Sorry I didn't get this out sooner! Just missed your update.

I went though the Destinies.txt file and verified the info vs the live game. There were several things that were either the wrong cost or the wrong number of ranks (or both). Also a few names that were different.

They also did this weird thing where some of the multi-selectors were different costs within the same selection. No idea why they did that, but I have a feeling it will be a nightmare to program around. So for now, I just made a note in the descriptions about it so people can hopefully just work around it.

Anyway, here is the link, and the change notes.

    Default Updated Feats.txt

Updated the Legendary "Scion of [THING]" Feat descriptions to their new versions. Wont bother with a change log this time, but Scion of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Feywild, Shadowfell, Mechanus, and Celestia all had changes.

    Here's the file: Feats.txt

Default Subscript out of range error

    Howdy,
I'm using the 1-04-2022 release. I have a custom gearset that works fine until I click on the Ingredients button in the Review panel. The app throws a "Runtime error '9': Subscript out of range" error. Clicking on the error box closes the program cleanly. Loading the bundled Kensei Warprient gearset works as it should. Using Windows 10 for the OS version.

Is there a log generated somewhere I can examine, post or send to help identify the problem?

Thanks a million for keeping this app up-to-date. Been using it since EllisDee first made it available. Indispensable.

    Cheers.

[EDIT] Okay, it's working fine now. No idea why other than I did a reboot (my wireless mouse lost connection as it sometimes does and a reboot fixes it).

I can't figure out what the max Permanent Destiny Point (PDP) number should be - I've seen SSG state several numbers regarding Fate Points (FP)/Destiny Points.

    U51 Preview 3: Epic Destiny Overview (ddo.com)
"Unlocking a tree in the new system also provides +3 Fate Points per tree, which means that a brand new character reaching 20 for the first time will begin with 36 Fate Points."
    Except there are 5+4+4+4=17 trees. 17*3 = 51fp=17 PDP

"If this is your first time in Epics, you will begin with a bare minimum of 24 Fate Points (from unlocking the 12 currently available trees)"
    ???

"This means that a player with Epic Completionist, all Epic Past Lives, the Tome of Destiny from Feywild, a +3 Tome of Fate, and all unlocked Destiny Trees, will begin level 20 with 23 Permanent Destiny Points (18 from fate, 4 from four copies of epic completionist, 1 from tome)."

    What I've figured out:
    3 FP = 1 PDP
    4 EPL (1/sphere) = 1 PDP

Starting with fully unlocked trees (5+4+4+4=17 trees):
    51 FP = 17 PDP

    Tomes
    3 FP tome = 1 PDP
    Tome of Destiny (Feywild) 1PDP
    Tome of Destiny (Historic) 1PDP
    So 3 PDP from tomes

    Epic Past life
    1 PDP/EPL Completion.
    4 spheres * 3 = 12 PDP

This gives me 32 PDP as a max.

So at Level 30, you get 40 Destiny points, plus what looks like a max of 32 PDP. That would be 72 for a total.

That being stated - EDIT the Tomes.txt to set your min/max numbers:

    Tome.txt
    ---------
    PermDestinyPointMax: 19
    PermDestinyPointMin: 12

This game does excel at obfuscation. Figures that it'd be good at something that irritates the player base.

Firstly, the permanent fate points always go away after I close the app. So, always an error when I open because it resets to 12.

I think the crux of your problem* involved this statement in Lynn's post: "The current maximum Fate Points is 55: 36 from unlocking trees + 16 from Epic Past Lives + 3 from a Tome of Fate. This means that you will start with up to 18 Permanent Destiny Points from Fate at level 20 (+1 extra Fate Point)." I think that may have been accurate when u51 first dropped, but the current maximum 64 and what isn't reflected in Lynn's statement is that Epic Past Life Feats contribute to AP both directly and via Fate Points.

    • Directly: 1 AP for every 12 Epic past lives
    • Fate Points: 1 AP per 3 Fate Points, 1 Fate Point per 3 Epic past lives = 1 AP per 9 Epic past lives

    So,
Past Lives AP (Fate) AP (Lives) Total AP
    0-8 +0 +0 +0
    9-11 +1 +0 +1
    12-17 +1 +1 +2
    18-23 +2 +1 +3
    24-26 +2 +2 +4
    27-35 +3 +2 +5
    36-44 +4 +3 +7
    45-47 +5 +3 +8
    48+ +5 +4 +9
    #

So extrapolating that, when 54 epls are possbible, it should move up to 65ap and to 66ap at 60epls

I hope that helps. Be nice if someone else could provide citations from developers. It'd also be nice if the terminology used was better chosen.

Cheers and thanks for all your hard work

*I could be wrong because the devs don't go back and correct their posts to reflect changes, misstatements on their part, or just poor wording
#I grabbed that info and table from the wiki(https://ddowiki.com/page/Epic_Destinies). I am pretty sure that is correct, as my character with 48epls has 64destiny ap to spend.

    Default Remove augment from Item

Howdy, I mistakenly added a yellow augment to an item (armor) that doesn't have that slot. (It now shows both a blue and a yellow augment slot). I noticed that there doesn't seem to be any way to remove an augment slot once it's been added. Just wondering if I'm missing something I need to do to delete it. Thanks.

The multi-selection costs are already in place by adding a cost to each selectorName section

    Code:
    AbilityName: Noble Affinity
Descrip: Multiselector: Sun Bolt, Flaming Sphere, Mass Cure Moderate Wounds
    Cost: 2
    Ranks: 1
    Tier: 3
Selector: Sun Bolt, Flaming Sphere, Mass Cure Moderate Wounds
    SelectorName: Sun Bolt
Descrip: Sun Bolt SLA (12 second cooldown, 12 spell points) (Note - Only costs 1 DP, not 2)
    Cost: 1
    SelectorName: Flaming Sphere
Descrip: Flaming Sphere SLA (60 second cooldown, 15 spell points)
    SelectorName: Mass Cure Moderate Wounds
Descrip: Mass Cure Moderate Wounds SLA (9 second cooldown, 35 spellpoints)
The cost per rank is something that I'll have to code.

First of all -thanks - lots of work here.

PDP is now added to the code so that it persists through saves. I also noticed a couple of other screw ups with the destiny save that's now fixed (don't load a build and attempt to delete a destiny!)

The whole interaction between fate points and destiny points is screwed up. I think that the UI that shows "Fate Points: X (Perm Destiny Points: Y)" is *very* confusing - it seems like PDP's are a function of FP, but they certainly are not exclusively linked.

I count 17 Epic Past lives available (5 in Arcane, 4 in the others) * 3 repeats = 51 EPL or 17 FP.

    Fate Points:
    36 FP for unlocking Destinies
    3 FP tomes
    EPL - (5+4+4+4) * 3 = 51 EPL /3 = 17 FP

    Direct Permanent Destiny Points (PDP):
    2 PDP for tomes
    EPLC - 48/12 = 4 PDP

    That gives
    36 (base) + 3 (tome) + 17 (EPL) = 56 Fate Points
    PDP: 56/3 = 18 (FP) + 2 (tome) + 4 EPLC = 24 PDP

I'd say that a maxed bottom line should say:
Fate Points: 56 (Permanent Destiny Points 24)

I don't think *any* one SSG person understands this calculation.
