Thanks for the quick update for u38! Love the character planner!

hey good sir, not sure if u already fixed it (my version is... 1?2? weeks old) but the vistani haste boost is 1AP per tier, so total is 3, i mean just clicked it and it's only showing 1 tier for 1 AP doesn't allow me to put more points on it (and have enough for it lol)
ty for ur awesome work!
psykopeta is finally baconpletionist because there isn't anything to delay it more - thelanis, where the gimps claim to be pros and noobs claim to be pros, no newbies allowed(unless they claim to be pros), we have enough drama w/o them. PS: I post only in the latest thread shown in main page, in the weird case u want something from me, feel free to send pm
If your version is a week old, it's the one from December. I posted a new release for U38 changes yesterday morning, which also includes the fix for Vistani haste boost.
Just to throw this out there, the most reliable way to determine the date of a release is to look at Data\Builder\Enhancements.txt. Not every release will involve program changes, and there aren't always changes to feats or the compendium quest list or anything except enhancements, which I always update with a wiki crawl every update. Most often within an hour before posting the release, as the wiki crawl is one of the last things I do before posting.
(Updating the What's New? help topic with the link to the complete notes is technically the last thing I do, but I don't do that at all if the program didn't change.)

Errata:
Aasimar T1: Aasimar Improved Recovery, should be 2 AP instead of the 1 AP in builder
Aasimar T3: Aasimar Improved Recovery, same
Aasimar T4: Aasimar Improved Recovery, same
Thank you for all your work on this, it has been an invaluable aide.
Doh! I totally remember seeing that somewhere, either in this thread, my PM inbox, or my builder notes, but I totally forgot to fix it. I'll go ahead and fix it now on my development build so it's part of the next update. Which likely won't be until the next game update, so anyone who wants to fix it themselves but don't know how:
- Open Data\Builder\Enhancements.txt
- Scroll down (Aasimar is the first tree) to each of the three enhancements
- Add the line "Cost: 2" (no quotes) right below the "Tier: #" line
EDIT: I think I may have fixed it in the Scourge tree but not the Aasimar tree, since looking now, the Scourge tree already has the correct cost.

Tweak idea:
No idea how hard it would be to code or implement, but I was thinking it would be great to have the level a spell is acquired tagged to the end of it in the spell list. I know I can get it by going into the edit spell section. But it would really help when using it as a summary post in the forums or simply trying to remember why I did something or other in a build. Good reference for what you get and when while leveling.
example:
Artificer:
1. Conjure Bolts (1), Enchant Weapons (1), Shield of Faith (2), Master's Touch (19)
Agreed, that is a very good idea. I don't think it would be overly difficult, so I'll try and get that included in the next update.
It should be noted, though, that coming up with the character level you get a spell is one of several unusual complexities that makes the spell screen / output a major hassle. On the plus side, it's the least complex "unusual complexity." (Pact spells, free spells, and mandatory spells are all much worse, and in that order.)
The planner thinks wind dance (t5 air savant) costs 1 ap, but in game it costs 2 ap.
Are you sure? I just changed that in the most recent update. (It's in the release notes.)
I noticed it while farming purple coins during the last risia event, when I rolled up my purple coin farmer it only cost 1 ap. I'll have to check in-game to verify, because I distinctly remember it costing 1 ap and noticing that it was wrong in the planner, so I changed it the next update.
Not in terms of programming, as there's very little programming necessary to implement the U39 changes. (Though I am adding some minor bells and whistles to the various programs while I wait for wiki updates.)
The key thing that would help would be updating wiki pages. Specifically the Falconry page, and the base favor for White Plume Mountain.
I also need to verify that the wiki is current for Frenzied Berserker, Occult Slayer, Ravager, Angel of Vengeance, Beacon of Hope, War Priest and War Soul, but that's not overly time-consuming. Still, if anyone wants to verify those, any help is appreciated.
Good morning/afternoon,
Do you have a Dev build for U39 released? I am making some Falconry builds and while I can use the harper tree for most stuff, posting it online is tough. I dont mind a partially done or buggy Dev build at all, and don't mind doing some QA
Also, any chance you could have a copy/paste option for Reddit? Converting the standard text or ddovault options is ugly. It doesn't have to be fancy, just correct line breaks, etc.
Lastly, thank you VERY much for your time and work. DDOCGL and the cannith item builder are both indispensable for my DDO play!
No, because I'm still holding out hope that I can crawl descriptions from the Falconry wiki page, but it's still not crawl-able. That means I'll have to manually type the descriptions in myself, or copy & paste from the wiki page but that's not a ton faster and it's sloppier.
To be honest, I'm not even entirely sure I can see the Falconry page in-game; is it selectable but not usable until you buy it, like Harper? If so, no worries, I can implement it normally. If not, I'll be relying entirely on the release notes and wiki, neither of which have ever been historically reliable. (At least not this soon after an update for wiki.)
Sure, I don't see why not. If it's not too time-consuming I'll toss it in there. Also, any chance you could have a copy/paste option for Reddit? Converting the standard text or ddovault options is ugly. It doesn't have to be fancy, just correct line breaks, etc.
Is there a sample you've posted or a subreddit I can use to test?
Well maybe I can take some time to put the Falconry page together. I just had my first foray into editing the wiki in U38 to ass the quests into the quest by XP list. So it might be painful, but maybe not! Ill let you know if I update it.
As for the Reddit post, I have several posted, but I edited all of them. They are a wreck, but maybe they will help give you some clues on the formatting. The other option is I could just post something straight from the client into Reddit for a test post. That should be easy enough to do.

Along the same lines, is there extent in the export feature now or something that you could add that would make posting a copy to googledocs easier? Mostly it isn't too hard to clean up, except for the skills section, which is aweful. Maybe there is a better way and I'm just an imbecile and missing it...never a possibility to be overlooked.
Thanks again for making such a great tool available.
If you really want to work with the Falconry tree now, you can copy & paste the following into the top of Data\Builder\Enhancements.txt
No descriptions yet, but I did update the Falconry wiki page to at least be crawlable.Code:TreeName: Falconry Type: Global Initial: Fal Color: Green AbilityName: Summon Avian Companion Tier: 0 Flags: SelectorOnly Selector: Falcon, Grey Owl, Raven, Snow Owl, White Falcon AbilityName: Stat Tier: 0 Cost: 2 Flags: SelectorOnly Selector: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma AbilityName: Well Rounded Tier: 0 AbilityName: Stat II Tier: 0 Cost: 2 Flags: SelectorOnly Selector: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma AbilityName: Well Rounded II Tier: 0 Cost: 2 AbilityName: Master Falconer Tier: 0 AbilityName: Rugged Tier: 1 Ranks: 3 AbilityName: Practiced Accuracy Tier: 1 Ranks: 2 AbilityName: Hunter's Knowledge Tier: 1 AbilityName: Out in Nature Tier: 1 Ranks: 3 AbilityName: Wanderlust Tier: 1 Ranks: 3 AbilityName: Killer Instinct I Tier: 2 Cost: 2 AbilityName: Watch the Center Tier: 2 Ranks: 3 AbilityName: Diving Attack Tier: 2 Ranks: 3 Flags: SelectorOnly Selector: Diving Shot, Diving Strike AbilityName: Meticulous Weaponry Tier: 2 Ranks: 3 Flags: SelectorOnly Selector: Meticulous Weaponry, Meticulous Fletching AbilityName: Sprint Boost Tier: 2 Ranks: 3 AbilityName: Killer Instinct II Tier: 3 Cost: 2 All: Tier 2: Killer Instinct I AbilityName: Tear Flesh Tier: 3 Cost: 2 AbilityName: Go for the Eyes Tier: 3 Ranks: 3 Selector: Shot, Strike AbilityName: Conditioning Tier: 3 Cost: 2 AbilityName: Eyes of the Eagle Tier: 3 Cost: 2 AbilityName: Deadly Instinct Tier: 4 Ranks: 3 AbilityName: No Mercy Tier: 4 Ranks: 3 AbilityName: Coordinated Strike Tier: 4 Flags: SelectorOnly Selector: Coordinated Shot, Coordinated Strike AbilityName: Expose Weakness Tier: 4 AbilityName: Shared Vision Tier: 4 Ranks: 3 Cost: 2 AbilityName: Dangerous Tier: 5 Cost: 2 AbilityName: Death from Above Tier: 5 Ranks: 3 Selector: Shot, Strike AbilityName: Thrill of the Hunt Tier: 5 Ranks: 3 Selector: Shot, Strike AbilityName: Mark the Prey Tier: 5 Selector: Shot, Strike

Is there no way to change the font or color on reddit? (EDIT: Reading up on Reddit Comment Formatting, it looks like for right now your best bet is to export using Plain Text, paste it into notepad, then add 4 spaces to the start every line before posting to reddit.)
For google docs, I think you change the font to Courier and export it using the Plain Text format.
