I was going to quote someone and post this, then I decided it applies to, at least, 90% of the posters on these forums.
The main problem with the written word versus the spoken word is the loss of tone. People do their best through the use of emotes, different emphases, and 500 hundred word posts, but the tone is often lost.
So I am going to share some my assumptions that I have about just about everyone that posts to these forums. Whenever I use the word "you" I am in fact referring to you the reader.
1. I believe you to be a fairly decent human being deserving the respect as such. I apologize if any of my posts would seem contrary to this belief.
2. I believe you to be very passionate about this game, at least enough to come to the forums for it and post your ideas, complaints, suggestions or anything else that comes to mind.
3. I believe that we at the very least have one thing in common, a love for gaming.
4. Last but certainly not least, I am willing to bet regardless of how we may feel about the topics posted here, for or against, that if we joined up with some type of voice communication and discussed Dungeons & Dragons, Dungeons & Dragons Online, or any other game, the result would be an enlightening and enjoyable conservation for all parties involved. ( I am using we to infer every permutation of we possible, not just you and me.)
I just thought I would throw this out there so that maybe when people read some of my other posts they would know where I am coming from.
Thanks and have a great day!
