DDO-RP site up and running!

Greetings everyone,

I would like to invite all the DDO RPers out there to join me in a new project that will hopefully establish a forum for all DDO RPers to come together, meet one another, and establish a static RP community within the game. When I began playing MMOs some eight years ago, I was instantly drawn to RP for several reasons. For me the creative outlet was far more dynamic since it incorporated the visual aides that video games offer. Also, adding more in terms of depth, character development, and ongoing interest in specific characters was as equally (if not more so) rewarding as the acquisition of levels, gear, and in game money.

For the few years that I've been playing DDO, I've noticed a lack of RP based..well anything really. While I did spend some time with a couple of RP guilds on Sarlona, I've discovered that it's difficult to maintain these guilds. However, I have also noticed that there is indeed a desire for RP and story telling based gaming. While it may not be as mainstream as questing, leveling, and raiding, my hope is that this site will help to establish a more concrete means for RPers to come together, establish guilds, and kick off in game story lines and events. That being said please feel free to check out the site, get registered, and start posting!

Please keep in mind that the site is BRAND NEW, and may take a little time to get established. However, I believe that we can be successful and anchor in a new age of RP within the game that was based on the best RPG of all time!

I'm in the same boat. That's a very well-done site, especially for this being day 1. I might just finally get around to writing a bio for my characters, just because this site exists. That's for being a positive part of the community!

Looking to use the weekend to plan for an event next week, so check out the site for more details! Have a few people signed up already and a few characters added to the community. Thanks again everyone for your interest in establishing some RP!

Hello, just a quick update!

No event yet, but I am sure it'll come along soon-ish.
We are growing slowly and hopefully more members will sign up once we've established more active events, groups and hopefully a guild.

Other things going on:

• Community driven static-group is being talked about.

• A guild on Sarlona formed with a council of DDO-RP members as the leaders is in the works if there's interest.

Everytime I try to take a break, I always end up back here...

You might want to make sure that things are a bit more active on that site and do more cross-posting to the DDO forums. I took a look at the site and there hasn't been anythings since February in the News section. The lack of upcoming events has a similar lack of current content. I hope things get more active.
