Windows says I am connected to the router and internet but no dice

So a few days ago the network went to saying no internet access. I tried several things and finally uninstalled the driver for the LAN connection and rebooted for windows to install it. It now says that there is internet access but nothing network related is working. I can access the Verizon router and it is fully functional. Only a problem on this machine. It is a desktop computer so no WiFi and I am writing this off of a tablet. Any help to get back in game would be nice. Thanks in advance.

Can you access the router settings through your browser? If so, do you see anything indicating a connection/communication issue?

As a short-term test/fix, can you bypass the router and connect the modem directly to your computer to see if anything changes?

For another possible short-term fix, can you wire your tablet to your computer and trying sharing its internet connection?

Do you have a firewall on your computer, and if so did you check the settings to make sure something didn't toggle on and shut down your connection?


Sorry, not a tech guy so that's all I can think of, at the moment.

Meh I probably need a new network card. On board one probably got fried.
