Yeah, I'm pretty excited about them, too. It would be cool to see the class offering some unique buffs to benefit the party (profane or primal bonuses perhaps, depending on the entity that they have made a pact with), in addition to the DPS/nuker aspect that I'm initially envisioning. That would be pretty exciting beyond another nuking spellcaster type.

    Seriously?

Plenty of PC participants from 2014, including every one of them in this thread, put their opinions in threads on these general forums. Sometimes you have to read whole threads. PC members were asked to delay participating in topics once presented to the general forums to give everyone one a chance to chime in.

And... It concerned only the topics that were previously discussed in the PC forums before reaching Lamannia or General Forums.

All the other topics weren't limited... our posts are just lost in the mass of other posts.

I was really wanting to be a part of the players council, but a recent move has made it so I don't know if I could make it to meetings that require I be free at a specific time. (Devs, if there is a possibility that this requirement be waived, I'd love to apply, but I don't want to waste your time if it's critical) Anyway, since I can't champion it, could someone please try to take up Silverleafton's Lost Trees Project?

My understanding is there aren't any required "be here now!" meetings - it's almost entirely done by forum posts, at your own convenience. I can't even begin to hazard a guess as to the "able to communicate in spoken English" requirement, unless it's to be able to watch/understand dev videos. Maybe to participate in the occasional PC test run on Lama? I dunno.

But considering they'll have people in all sorts of timezones and schedules, they can't possibly expect people to be able to commit to specific times for anything. So I doubt that it's a "requirement" that needs to be "waived". (I'm planning on applying, and I certainly wouldn't be able to make the average scheduled meeting. Heck, I can't even ever make the Dev events for regular players on Lamaland!)

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Kensai, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

There's no requirement to be there at a specific time...
Actually last year it would have been impossible, with people from Australia, France, Sweden, England, Brazil and East and West Coast US ( at least ) to find a time where everybody was available to attend.

It might have been a requirement for Mournlands, but it's definitely not the case with the PC.

Many council members did share their opinions on the public forums as well (after a brief waiting period to let the public see the version presented to them and comment first).

If you are otherwise a good choice, being the "most casual" player to apply may give you better chances. We want diversity. If you think you are "too extreme" in any direction, that probably makes you a good candidate. (That includes disagreeing with developers, as long as it's done productively.)

While we do want to expand some things on the Council in 2015 to perhaps include more IRC discussion, there should be no specific time commitment to participate, as most feedback is done in a way that accommodates the global nature of our community.

Some of us don't like being a negative target and so are much more circumspect on what we post that can be seen by everyone. Others came from different media channels so were only ever going to post on the PC boards. The vocal ones were going to be vocal everywhere.

Some of us used the special "Player Council 2014" Title in the forum, but many didn't... It's a personal choice, I used it.... Well I'm still using it.

So if you've been given a special forum title, you can turn them on and off? Now I'd like one :-) Like, "Avatar of Possibility" or "Community Encourager" or "Surprisingly Humanoid" or "2015 DDO Players Council" :-) The last two are my favorites.

see, I was thinking that if I get on the 2015 PC I probably wouldn't use it, because I like my "The Hatchery". BUT NOW I SEE BY YOUR PROFILE I CAN HAVE BOTH! Was there something special you had to do for that? *g*
