We are now taking applications for the 2015 DDO Players Council! What is the Player's Council? Read more and consider an application!

Last year's Council was really interesting, and included a very diverse set of voices from across the DDO community. We think both the DDO dev team as well as Council members enjoyed the experience. The Council gets an early look at upcoming game changes, typically in the form of private forum posts and surveys, and provides insight that helps inform our decision-making process.

We will be taking applications through Sunday, January 25th. The goal is to get the new Council seated within a few weeks after that.

Yeah, I can use the <br> function in titles. I also gave all the 2014 Council members a title. I don't know how many lines it will take until something breaks, but a couple seem fine.

This seems like a fun thing to find out sometime. I hereby offer my services. I'm sure I can come up with several titles if need be... *g*

Just a note that a big snowstorm in the area delayed work on this by a day or so, but we're done taking applications, and are working to sort through everything and put together the next Council. We are hoping to get the next Council announced within a few weeks. Thank you to everyone who applied!

Nope, we were relieved on the 19th. Right now there is no PC.

Since we were elected last year around the begining of January it was more or less 12 months for us... We will have to wait the end of the year to see how long the 2015 one lasted.

That is a VERY interesting metric! I was expecting about 150-225 myself. Perhaps the state of the game isnt so bad after all...

We actually got about 50 additional applications this year over last year, so that's nice. And yeah, it ended up being about 400 applications this year.

We do plan to notify the folks who are invited to the 2015 Players Council, although like last year we are not planning to notify folks who apply and don't make it onto this year's Council.

Aha, but make sure to don't not notify players (like me) who did not apply at all. The double negative thus forcing you to put me in charge of DDO player's council and DDO.

I'm afraid it's going to be Kobold (not Gnome - sorry Sev) Warlocks and thrusting players into a 2 update content pack of Demons of Shavarath breaking through Lloth's Eberron portal and fighting to take over Asmodeus nine hells in the FR. Can the players prevent the demon horde from making the portals unstable? What possibly archonic force manipulated this chaotic horde into action and why? Will Asmodeus be ****ed and counterattack? Featuring one new raid per pack, two totally different Eberron demon and FR devil explorer areas and a number of supportive quests to keep the Realms and Eberron intact. Includes no re-use of previous Shavarath questing instances and an overhaul and upgraded tier system for ring/belt-neck per class sets.

We're working on it! The bad weather in the past week has delayed things, but we're working to get the council selected within the next week or so. When that's done, we'll email out invites. Once most of the folks have gotten back to us, we'll announce it.

I hear ya. I hear the stats and see how many people applied, and I think to myself "There's no way you're going to get it, not good chances at least," but I know I'm just telling myself that to not get my hopes up, but hope springs eternal, yeah?

And again, my brain just goes, "Hey, it's not a big deal either way, just don't think about it, and they'll decide what they think is best", but I still get excited when I get an email, just in case. :-P
