    You cannot start lvl 1 on an Iconic during the TR process, on any other class than your assigned.


    It is only possible by using an LR+X Heart to change the first level.

    In your case I would assume staying Rogue at 1 is fine as that's a generally good first level for Arti builds

    This build has dose not have the free heal but has bigger spell heal, empower heal, and maximize. 10% more AC with {improved Mage Armor} lots of utility spells of note gust of wind to get rid of persistent spells ie fire wall, cloud kill. You get blur, haste, displacement, and extend spell all with 0% ASF in heavy armor. Permanent Tenser's Transformation {Stacking +4 str, dex, con, and +6 AC} and full BAB
    In this one your divine mite works off your Turn undead not you sp so you can use less often
    twist - Rejuvenation Cocoon
    - Endless Smiting
    - Sense Weakness
    I like this build better thought of it after the 1st one but both should work well.
    P.S. if this is not what you had in mind tell why or more of what you are looking for and would happy to rebuild

    The skills you get are listed level by level in the post if in your build of this, as it was for someone that had a + 6 tome in INT if you don't have the skill points to get all the skills and still want to trap get them the order of importance is Search, Disable, open lock.

    hi kent. you've helped me in the past and I am in need again.

    I have some past lives to farm so that I can get back to triple completionist and I'm looking for ideas. please let me know of builds that you like for the following:
    - tiefling scoundrel (iconic p/l)
    - aasimar scourge (iconic p/l)
    - alchemist (class p/l)


    in the past, I've combined class+iconic to get 2x p/l's in one go, but I don't see any great combos here. :-( maybe you'll have some luck there.

    here's what this character has so far:
    +8 tome of supreme ability
    3x past lives in all classes except alchemist
    3x past lives in all iconic except tiefling scoundrel + aasimar scourge
    racial past lives: 2x elf & human, 1x halfling, drow
    Mysterious Remnant Tomes (+2): MRR, PRR, Melee Power, Ranged Power, Spell Power
    Skill Tomes (+4 minimum) all skills

    I'm happy playing melee, ranged, caster. just want to avoid playing toothless builds during the level grind.

    Heya, mostly looking for a build for a Tiefling Scoundrel. Tend to play more tanks and melee dps or throwers but willing to get accustomed to dps caster. Open to your creativity, just more or less want something to farm these iconic lives out and maybe return to if I enjoy it enough, suitability is a +.
    I have seen your Sonic Knight build and plan on running it as well but looking for something more towards maybe swash or even with a barb or pally primary class for dual tr usage? idk ????
    +1 hearts are not an option for me sadly.

    Hey there! I'm a returning player from... oh, I don't know, 2010 or so? Needless to say, things have changed. A lot! So I came looking for the experts opinions; I was hoping for a Monk build (I saw the two 1/2ling builds from a few years ago - are those still solid? If so, awesome, I'll run with those!) or possibly a caster Cleric. I'm not sure how amazing these classes are, but I don't intend to do super high end stuff, I'm just having fun with a friend that's running a PM Wizard. I've got all classes aside from FvS, 32 point builds, and I don't mind getting tomes if needed to make a build work better. Any tips or direction would be awesome.

    Would like to use my 2 Handed Great Axes (I have a nice collection of them)

    My past lives are, Ranger, Artificer, Bard, Barbarian, Cleric, Monk, Paladin, Rogue and Wizard. I have a +5 to all, I plan on getting the +8 soon.

    It looks like this thread is still active. If there's a better or different thread that is in use now, please link.

    I would like to play the Shadar Kai and take full advantage of the ethereal aspects. It was suggested Pale Master would make a good pairing, but I don't know which abilities stack. I don't want to be redundant and waste points.

    Personally I like sneak attacking, ranged is fine. I can't do Monk, sadly, I can't remember all the combos (wasted a 20 Heart on it because I couldn't test it first). :( So a minimal quick bar setup for combat would be ideal.

    I solo a lot so self heal is valuable. I love the idea of being able to undo all the traps, locks and hiddens, but the Rogue build isn't the same as back in 2010 when I last played. :D So I'd rather take on sneak attacking with all the extra damage dice or assassination which is more final. The limitation on sneak attacking is if I'm solo, it's hard to get back that advantage, right?

    So here's the kicker. If the build is completely gimped as described, or I can't achieve perfection without dipping into monk, show me the hero I deserve, not the hero I want.

    Flavor? I want to attack from the shadows, f^ck sh!t up and disappear into the shadows again (although I hear hiding is nerfed end game so... something better?). If attacked I ghost out, kill even more while taking much less damage, then be able to heal myself to fight again asap. I also have to afk unexpectedly, so knowing I'll be okay in a corner or on a shelf unseen has it's perks.

    I know gear can emulate some of these things but good gear requires I survive to loot it, right? And I don't know where to get any of it (and I don't understand what people are saying when they TELL me where to get it, too many abbreviations and lingo).

    Oh and I splurged my TP that I'd saved up and got a +8 to all stats tome, because fkit, I deserve it!

    So, is it doable for the purposes of this thread at least?

    Hey Kent!

    First of all, holy moley! You're active as all heck, and you shoot these builds out like a machine gun!

    Anyway, I wanted some help with a tanking build on a Dragonborn Sorcerer running Eldritch Knight. I currently have Maximize, Empower and Shield Proficiency as my first three feats, but we're having some trouble figuring out what to do in the future. Should I take two points into fighter to get some extra tanking benefits, and the possibility of Heavy Armor? Or should I stick to EK and try to aim for the capstone core for that sweet sweet damage bonus. I currently output some of the most damage on my team surprisingly (still a sorcerer, after all), so it's a bit strange. Would it be a good idea to use a heart of wood to roll back a few class selections to grab those fighter levels for those bonuses?

    Long time listener first time caller, so to speak. As a returning player from waaaaay long ago I have been toying with a number of different builds. I was curious if you had ever thought about putting together a mishmash of classes that could create 'helpless' victims and amplify damage against them.

    Easiest source of stacking helplessness in my mind would be Falconry(30%), TA from Rogue(30%), and prey on the weak (15%) from tier three of the Natures Warrior. By that logic the build would need rogue 4 and druid 3 and 60 AP towards those feats.

    However, I'm getting a little stuck on a couple things.
    According to the wiki, the bonus damage only applies to certain helpless states and excludes things like paralysis from AA (though not from Ghoul touch). However, its unclear if that applies to the base 25% increase in damage only or if that carries through for the increases from various enhancement lines. Do you know?

    Second, I'm not sure the best way to create the helpless state. I was thinking a Wisdom based class would work well given the commitment to Falconry. Based on that I thought Cleric or Favored soul would work as they both could use soundburst for a nice AOE stun. Cleric gives me access to domains like Fire for possible nuking. However, DC's would be hard pressed and may warrant dropping Natures warrior for further levels in cleric and access to last tier of the domain.

    I also looked at the monks stunning fist given it works off wisdom. That would require using ninja spy from monk instead of TA, and devoting AP to Shintao given the need to use handwraps when using stunning fist. Downside there is single target stun and single target DPS. Seems far less efficient.

    Howdy All! like it says I back from an almost 5-month hiatus from DDO and sorry for any of the requests I have missed. I have been putting my building skills to work for some friends playing POE now there is a game that will make you break out your calculator. My wife needs to ride a unicorn so we are both back in full swing to our DDO grind we needed a little breather after over 10 years straight of DDO but after 5 months we miss it so with that out of the way let me get to it.

    I have a monk Falconer was much fun you can find it Here. If you give me your past lives, tomes, and if you have the +1 race AP. I can tailor a build for you while you have a look at that and tell me what you think I will see if I can come up with anything better to truly kick them while they're down.

    PS. When I ran that build our threesome all ran Falconers you can find the other two just after that one my wives was a druid, and our guildie ran a Cleric we had so much blinding, tripping, stunning, and Jade mobs on the field it seemed every mob I hit was helpless .... a point to be made here these builds were not made with "Helpless Damaged" as your request states but the monk and wolf did end up working that way to a degree it is a good place to start you make a good point in that the monk could go for "No Mercy" that is one of the things I will look into

    looking at this I think I like it better then the old build but note it is based on my toon with my tomes and passed lives if you were to do it, depending on what you have you might need to move some of the starting stats around. Now you could get "No Mercy" from Ninja Spy but I don't think it is worth losing regenerating healing hands but if you have more racial past lives so you don't need to spend real AP to get it go for it.


    P.S. If anyone is doing this build and not going into epics then at level 18 take Grandmaster of forms to have it the build does not get it for free until level 20 when you get 18 levels of monk as the Magical Training is just for Rejuvenation Cocoon in epics.

    I solo a lot so I'd like to fit traps in, but self healing and survivability is most important.

    Welcome back and Thank you for both the response and the updated build.
    Im a bit of an odd duck in that ive played the game off and on since the beta but dont really have past lives to show for it. Im a character creation addict and have vip 1 and 2 and have maxws out the number of characters on all servers but certainly not their levels. So no past lives, some supreme tomes floating around, and 32 points with everything unlocked.
    I live on the character creation tool and love coming back from a long hiatus to play with all the interestinf possibilities.
    With all that said, im planning on trying to get some past lives under my belt so heroics are it. It seems like blasphemy but i went ahead and rolled up a druid 16, rogue 4. Its blasphemous because, like a child, i want it al and have come up with a build that does not have tier 5.*gasp*
    I will paste when back near my laptop but its basically a stick druid with ap in falconry, rogue thief acrobat, and natures warrior (wisdom based). I like the synergy of ta with shillelagh at lvl 6 druid. Falconry is justified since i need wisdom to hit and damage. And i can play around within the trees for a few plat should i decide to mix things up. So far its working well. Ended up using ap into druid to zap helpless stuff with lightning and wow does that blow stunned mobs up.
    I think im going to make my second life as your monk character to compare the two builds and will let you know my thoughts when/if i get there.
    Im sure all the forum lurkers agree that its wonderful to have you back. I miss the personalities over the years with the likes of sigtrent and cordovan having moved on (though cordovan seems to still be quite close).
    Hope you and your wife ride into countless sunsets on your unicorns and whatnot.

    I post this build in the hopes you did not come to my thread for just a paladin with some trapping levels. This baby has it all 5 cleaves (6 when at the top of Divine Crusader) to swing around those great swords of yours, full traps, self-healing, and some thick skin (Adamantine Body not till level 10 but you need that long to clear ASF)
    Notes:
    You need Harper Agent to do the build as it is that is where you get Int mod to damage. You could do it without it as you don't have no str but then you would need to keep up on Str Items. Not too bad still and it would net you some more AP which I would spend like this\/\/ and after level 16 I would start putting Stat points into Str.

    As you did not give me the Stat tomes you had I just figured +2 all but really only the Str, Con, and Int have any great impact you need 17 base Str by level 20 for "GTHF"(get the +2 Str tome from favor before 20 if need be), 21 base Con needed by level 24 for "Epic Toughness"(if you don't have the Con tome by then get Int for your Stat at level up as 1 Con will not get you to 21 and if you have +3 Con tome or better aging get Int for you level up at 24 as you will not need the Con to get the feat), and for Int well the only change is skills lose tumble at level one and then repair as needed.

    While leveling you could just pick any Element for your spellsword that you can find the best spell power for. I would keep a backup for a quick swap out if you find something resistant. In epics, I go Fire for the synergy with Divine Crusader but if not in that Destiny the same holds true until you level 28 where you get Epic spell power. Remember to do the same with your spells to get the most bang for your buck. Not that you need to cast a lot of offensive spells but keep in mind after you get "Force's Edge" you will want to cast an offensive spell at least once every 12 seconds to keep it up. when going into melee it would be good to also remember to start with "Arcane Siphon" and try to hit it every 20 seconds or so than on mobs start your cleaving with "Eldritch Tempest" as it has the longest cooldown. it might seem like a lot but once you get the flow of your combat sequence down it will make all the difference in the world.
    You will need a blue augment to get rid of the last of the ASF sometimes

    I have used quite a few of your builds the Vol FvS and Tai-Chi Swordsman.

    Anyway to the point .

    I have a Bard Full SS (Tiefling Scoundrel) which I love but it needs to do some past lives to get Class completionist, so to that end here are my requirements.

    I would prefer them to be Iconics (any Iconics)

    I am going to use your Morninglord versatile solo melee for shawnvw for my Cleric next.

    My current state. 3x Rogue, 1x Bard (2 after ITR) +8 Supreme Tome.

    So I have anything up for grabs so I would like a few builds. I have access to all content, Weapon choices are flexible.

    I am also willing to eat a +1 Heart if it benefits me.

    In the above post, I did a build for Duplicate_10 that I think I am going to run myself and, I hear you have a nice collection of great axes This is the build as a Bladforge without using a +1 heart still good but I like getting GTHF at level 20, not 24. I did it with your tomes in mind and with that changes in Stat ups at the level and some skill changes with Pally at level one.
