Thanks for the feed back on this. Quick question. Being this my first time with Wiz spells, What will Tensors Transformation do for this build? I though heavy armor and martial proficiency is already given via the paladin levels? Thanks,

It will give you a +4 alchemical bonus to your physical stats (strength, dexterity and constitution), a +6 alchemical bonus to your AC, and increase your BAB to that of a fighter equal to your level (i.e. full BAB).
It will also double the cooldown of your spells, but that shouldn't be a major issue.

Default About Ranger Tempest's +1 to critical hit multiplier, and Occult Slayer's BoD.

Hey Kent / someone knowledgeable, does the level 12 Tempest Core stack with the Barbarian Occult Slayer's Bond of Destruction, or are they both the same type?

I am wanting to do a Barbarian/Ranger/Warlock build (for weapon damage imbues - electric and light damage and so far I am finding I don't have enough AP to spread for all the things I would need [trying to go t5 occult slayer for bond of Destruction, metaline, and max-ranks of One Spirit - thinking I may have to either sacrifice a rank of one spirit, or settle for less damage).

If the criticals don't stack, I am thinking 12 barb, 4 warlock, 4 ranger. If they do, then 11 ranger, 5 barbarian, 4 warlock. Granted, I would need to find a way to make the build more survivable hit-point wise (might need to grab 8 more ranks of Primal past lives).

    Thoughts?

well, I might sacrifice warlock from the scheme if that's the case - 12 ranger, 3 fighter, 5 barb!

    Thoughts?
Yes they do stack one is a Competence Bonus the other is only on 19-20 so on 19-20 you get +2 Critical Damage Multiplier on other crits just the +1 from Tempest Core.

Oh neat! What about the +2 multiplier while raging bonus? Do they stack with tempest as well?

Any tips you can give me for making a healthy, durable, survivable Ranger/Barb/Warlock mix? I anticipate hp being squishy as all get-out.

42 damage per hit from Light alone? Is this for one weapon, or both weapons hitting? Also, what about Tempest's 2d6 electrical strikes? In total, how much damage am I adding when I consider vulnerable mobs?

My current thoughts are that I would get more damage stacking the crit effects together than I would from trying to mix lightning with light. Especially when you consider the old burst effects. Dual-wielding Khopeshes that give damage on a x4 multiplier at 18-20 profile with an extra +1 (or just +2 if I go Frenzied Berserker for x6 multiplier) will add more base damage and will become more powerful as I gain levels rather than trying to slot enough spell power to get 300 light (honestly, I've never been that brilliant at building casters, so I have a harder time getting to about 300 spell power on a non-caster build than others. So much so that I usually don't break 300 spell power until I get lantern ring or something).

With occult slayer - two Heroic Lit2 khopeshes become late heroic/early epic devil beaters (though I've got a pair of Risia-burst Khopeshes that actually do a fairly decent job of punishing mobs well into early epics - despite only having a base enhancement bonus of +1).

However, doing 11 Barb, 5 ranger, 4 warlock would give me more rage power - more hit points, better base defenses, though I'd have to make some sacrifices if I want both weapon imbues to not be compromised. Eldritch Aura Burst would only really be on to gain benefits (and add ticks to the tree form so I can shape-shift more frequently). Primal Scream will be a nice twist to add.

    Thoughts?

    1. Yes, 42 light damage for every hit you do. So any time your weapon or weapons if dualwielding hit it will do its damage. 2d6 damage is only 7 damage average with no melee power and 14 with 100 melee power. And electric is resisted more than light. With 300 light power and 100 melee power you are adding 56 damage per hit.

    2. Here is a generic spell power breakdown:

    60 from epic levels
    10 from Epic Skills
30 universal from legendary feat (feywild personal favorite)
    138 from slotted augment
36 from implement bonus if slotted on a +12 enhancement bonus weapon like thunderforged
15 from appropriate skill boost item (spellcraft, perform, heal, repair)
    15 from ship buffs
    ---------------------------------
    304 Spell Power

This is not including any thing you may have from enhancement trees, other bonuses to skills like stats, party buffs, additional gear, etc.

    3. Nothing to comment on

    4. You are trying to make a tree build?

    5. Thoughts above

Hey kent, I actually do have a question: It looks like the build you posted doesn't put any points into balance, but don't I need to put 7 in for the SWF line?
I'm also seeing on the wiki that you can't take SWF and THF on the same char, is that no longer the case?

Other than that I think I will have a lot of fun with it, I might just change alignment to true neutral for Fiend pact instead of fey.

By the looks of things, its a bug in the builder that Kent uses. It doesn't seem to require the skill rank requirement for SWF, nor does it enforce the exclusivity between SWF and THF.

I personally tend to prefer fey pact over the others since sonic is far less likely to be resisted, and misty escape is really useful for general adventuring IMO.

Kent built me a warlock/arti back on page 8 of this thread (Rune Lock for Guildy). I've tweaked it recently to adjust some of the skill totals, and a couple of other minor tweaks since the new update hit.

If you'd like (and if Kent doesn't mind) I could adjust my build for your ability tomes and post it here.

Yeah I know Fey tends to be the favorite due to lack of sonic resists, but I just don't really like the look/feel of it. The fiend-specific stuff synergize fairly well with a melee build, and I already have a ranged GOO nuker so I want to give that a shot.

Also, since I can't take the THF feats it might be worth transfering a few points of str into int, or even bump cha up t0 18. I'd only need 11 before my +2 tome for power attack, and THF is the only reason I can see for having high STR.
