I'm new to this game (1 month as of today) so maybe this is a noob question, but I was trying this, because it seemed to me that the Rogue and Ranger Dual Wield would have great synergies. But I can't kill anything. Level 1, fresh off the boat, starter weapons, all based on STR, but I have a STR of 8. You didn't take Weapon Finesse (ever, it appears) so all damage is STR based, and yet you have no STR. How is this supposed to work? Is this designed only for long-time characters who maybe can start at higher levels? I just don't understand. Am I misunderstanding or wouldn't taking Weapon Finesse at level 1 at least make it so that your high dex would allow you to kill things?
EDIT: I see. You don't need Weapon Finesse due to the Core Tempest ranks. They don't help at level 1, but they replace the need for Weapon Finesse. Am I reading it wrong, though, that they don't include rapiers? Have to stick to light weapons?

Yes the core in Tempest will let you use DEX for hit at level 3, and for damage at lev 6 but this build does one better using the Harper tree first 3 AP gets you INT to hit and INT to damage at 12 AP spent so at the end of level 3 using Strategic Combat I, and then Strategic Combat II. In between the two you get Know The Angles which gives you +1/2 your INT mod to damage as a insight + so stacking with Strategic Combat II for a total of + 1.5 x INT mod to damage. All this made even better by the fact that INT is your highest stat

Hmmm. Since there's nothing to tell me what order to take the Enhancements I didn't see that. Also, I suppose you need Veteran status to start at level 4 (at least)? Because at level 1 the skeletons in Heytons Rest were slaughtering me. I had no AP yet, nor any fancy weapons or armor. Didn't even have enough money to buy a hireling to help keep me alive.
Educational, though. I'm new, and there's a lot to learn. I had overlooked Harper Agent entirely. Thank you.

Hey Kent. Previous happy customer coming back for more.
I'm looking to make a gnome Rogue/Arti/Ranger. Int based. I'm thinking 6 Arti for endless fusillade and rapid reload and 4 Ranger for Precise Shot and Rapid Shot and better BAB. Rest in rogue, for improved evasion. Enhancements would be BE / Mechanic and either Assassin for sneak attack die or Gnome for light repeater weapon training line and extra int.
First - is all this worth it or should I just go 14/6 or 18/2 Rogue/Arti to get additional rogue feats?
Second - I'm struggling (with 10/6/4) on level progression, so insight there would help as well.
Thanks!

Think I found an error in the build as regards to the dwarven line. I took all up to dwarven axe 2 like it said but was unable to get right to dwarven runes because it says you need 10 points in the tree and that only makes it 8 I looked all over to see if I missed something but have the same ones you list but still only 8 points total. This makes it hard to get up to throw your weight around.
No mistake here it is just that I do eh at the end and are what you want at the end so until level 11 when you can take the 2nd Con you need to take a place holder like Iron stomach for 2 AP so you can get to the top then at level 11 switch it out sorry I did not note this in the build

Getting Ready to TR my Iconic bladeforged paladin and he is on his 1st life now. I am seeking a Rogue mechanic, arty build using heavy repeaters, rune arms, human using harper tree max int, 14 con min, 13-15 dex no tomes and I am vip with everything. Well I just read up that as an Iconic I have to hit lvl 30 and get iconic heart of wood so I am only 24 and have only 30+ seeds so far

I might suggest that, while Lvl 20, you consider going back and zerging some low-level quests you skipped for 1,750 Total Favor and get your free +2 Tome in a stat of your choice. If you're Level 20, you're pro'ly close.

For any Ranged build, Improved Precise Shot is pretty nice, and requires a 19 Dex.

If you want to get serious, get the +2 Tome in one stat, and go for 5,000 Favor for the free +3 Tome in a diff stat, tho' that requires doing the vast majority of all quests in the game on/near Elite.

First I would like to say sorry for taking so long to respond work has been busy.
As for cleave in the warlock build as you can see I didn't take it until level 18 knowing that it would not get much use until epics when it is used when running in LD to help cycle momentum swing for what I think will be better single target dps
As for your new build request Rogue/Arty build I will get it posted today after work.

Yeah this was where I had problems, someone told me lvl 1 rogue then 2-3 arty but after that he said figured almost max rogue was best then 2 arty max.I was going to get Fullisade but I HATE the mechanic of you sitting iddle getting hammerd while you smack your x-bow. I was not sure at what level to take them at so was lost. Got the list of feats:Rapid reload, rapid shot, point blank shot, precision, pre.shot, imp pre shot, power crit. weapon focus ranged
Great x-bows rock when you get the right enhancements
Enhancement Trees:entire left side of Mechanic, battle engineer (basically everything to do with your x-bows)
