Hello? all I hear is echo. trades channel only has 4 people in it? down from 50 or so a year or more ago. no one in the raid channels that I'm familiar with? did EVERYONE move on?

Are you in ghallanda? Thats where im at and i noticed a dramatic reduction in player base from just 1 year ago.
I use to do 20-30 trades a day. Now im lucky to do 5 a week.
If your not in a guild with 100 members or well connected in game you will have a heck of a time trying to trade..or even have a conversation.

People been screaming merge for ever now. Is anybody hearing that?

Heya , me and my 17 alts are def. still here, also my friend in our little 2 man guild here on Khyber until they shut the servers off :P
I would guess mosy peeps are off during the hollydays and most just solo and dont look at trade chat or other channels , I know I don't
look at them anymore , also people tend to wait on their airships and those are different channels again.

Exactly. Add to that the absolutely laughable demands made in the trade channels, and I tune into it for amusement only. And then I can watch those items get listed for more AS than anyone should ever rightfully pay unless they are swimming in them.

I think there is a lot of good points made here.

Over a year ago and previous the player base had a different form of currency which we could use as a baseline for trading. Events occurred that made this currency flood the market and thus devalued.

What this did was made it so that the TIME to do trades personally in chat channels is now done using the Auction Houses or Trade post

It's the capitalism. It's also greed (oh wait same thing), and the plat spammers. And what was DDO's answer to the broken econ, and spammers?

"Here, trade REAL MONEY ,for OUR fiat vapor currency."

Which only made things worse, and broke the econ even further.

Since it's broke anyway, can we get a tax repeal?

This game is starting to resemble the real world more and more. Maybe we should all just quit, and join a LARP group, or (for the more manly amongst us) the SCA.

Spend our dough on something real.

Much like the real world, I love DDO, but the people in charge, well man, they leave everything to be desired.

duping has made trading 'interesting'. new content with BTA loot only has made trading impossible.

our guild has picked up a few peeps - mainly from other guilds collapsing i suspect. i also note a *ton* of new peeps on at any one time. whether they stay is another matter. i suspect until they fix end game (ie level 30 with content) not much is going to change.

Having said that, I do like the BTA loot available now. It's a bit Monty Haul, but still nice to deck out some alts. And alts leads to spending TPs, right? It's almost like there is a plan.

I went to check out the epic necro, just wondered around there the other day... it was nice, fun for a level 25 with a hireling trying to remember how to play.

however I logged back in and was unable to move. so I tried to log out. nothing happened. so I quit and tried to come back in... I've been stuck on "cleaning up old connections" for about 5 minutes now... this isn't fun.
