Goals? You think my characters have goals? That would imply a certain amount of forethought and planning. Those are two traits that few adventurers have. If they had such traits, they would probably choose a less life threatening job and be NPCs running nice quite taverns instead of adventurers.

Well, except for Curissa the Sorceress. She just wants to go back home to Aerenal. There are only two things standing in her way. Earning enough platinum to afford the first class airship ticket and Turbine creating a quest that takes place in Aerenal.

Curissa is an adventurer by happenstance, not choice. Her airship was shot down somewhere near a small island called Korthos and it sank into the ocean along with her platinum and belongings. She was the only one from the ship to make it to shore.

I have a New Year's Resolution for one of my first characters - my Monk who stays logged off with only 16 Ki. You would think he could constantly meditate and raise Ki while logged off, but no, each time I log in he only has 16. Monk is the only character class that I can truly say I dislike in the game, so I think I will be jumping into the Lava outside the Twelve Tower with this one.

I honestly don't know. I'm not very happy with the current crop of Devs and their attitude toward game design. My sub runs out in May, and guild loyalty may be the only thing keeping me around.
