As Christmas is around the corner and that means yet another dreaded dinner with the in laws I've decided to draw up what most of you folks would think your Mother in laws would be in DDO.

• Precision doesn't work with barb Rage, so you can drop it. [Unless the plan is to never use Rage; hard to tell from your enhs.]
• If you're going the S&B Swashie route, you definitely want the SWF feats ASAP. Then and only then may you squander any remaining feats on D/M/SA. [EDIT: personally I would take Cleave & GC instead, but that's your call.]
• You list Inspire Excellence, but you must've confused the builder or something, because that req's Inspire Heroics, which you don't get until bard lvl 15.

Thx, So I dropped two levels of Bard while I was at it and took Barbarian instead so I'd access Demoralizing Success as I expect to crit often.

Nope, the single weapon fighting feat line isn't working with improved shield mastery.

Skirmisher's "you may use a Buckler and still benefit from the Single Weapon Fighting line of feats" effect does not depend on Swashbuckling being active; which means it works with any armor type and any regular 1H weapon. Obviously, you miss out on the crit bonuses from Swashbuckling, but gaining doublestrike (and modest +PRR/MRR) from Shield Mastery line is still a nice DPS perk.

The real issue with your plan is ASF reduction, since WC Armorer only applies to med armor; annoyingly, it does nothing to reduce hvy armor ASF, IIRC.

Ok, at level 21 of my second attempt of building this char and she's a beauty.
12 Barbarian, 7 Bard and 1 fighter Purple Dragon.
I'm still working on the kinks as I still want to include the feats GreatCleave and Extend Magic.
The extend is there for spells like Displacement and haste.
Great Cleave for it self and resetting Momentum Swing.
Twist right now are Sense Weakness, Momentum Swing and Legendary Shield Mastery.
Epic Destiny is Devine Crusader.
Enhancements are Ravager, Occult Slayer and Swashbuckler.
Notable equipment:
- Epic Swashbuckler;
- Parasitic Breastplate with Solipsism;
- Treason;
- Ring of Lies;
- Ring of the Stalker;
- Emerald Claw Talisman.

Only downside is that some of the special attacks from bard are considered spells so you can't do all of em while raged.
That and the animation of Cutting Jibes and Intimidate is to long, if not I would have used it more often.

And what's up with Slaughter, seems to be broken or something?

Are you still planning on heavy armor? ASF is going to be murder to overcome I've only done this by using Drow/Elf, an augment and Core 2 of Eldritch Knight).

If you are...I'd personally drop the dodge/mobility/spring attack line for PA, Cleave, and Great Cleave (actually I just would have dropped them regardless of armor, but that's me). Since Precision doesn't work while raged (which I'm assuming you're all about the rage) you can swap that out for Extend (normally not a favorite of mine, but since you aren't looking for healing action, it's a quality of casting life thing).

Though you will lose Thread the Needle but if Precision doesn't work, I'm not certain you're getting the benefit of it once you hit rage. (If anyone has tested this, please let me know if/how this works)

You should see some increased DPS (resetting timers and what not for more hard hitting action and AOE combat with mob density is an added bonus) and get the rest of the feats you're looking for, granted you'll lost 7% dodge but you can make up for that with a dodge 10% item (no idea what you're planning for end game gear)


Also why aren't you taking Action Boost: Doublestrike? 30% is nothing to sneeze at ^^


As another note, WarChanter loves some Barbarian rage, if you re-look at the enhancements a bit I'd check into adding a little WC into the mix.

If you weren't set on a few things...TWF, WarChanter, Kensai, Ravager might be a crazy thing...freeze 'em and break 'em of sorts.

You may wish to consider barb 12 / bard 4 / ftr 4 for your next go-round. Downsides are losing lvl 3 spells (Haste & Displacement); upsides are two extra feats and access to lvl 3/4 Vanguard abilities (the core for +10% shield bash, Stunning Shield, Follow up). Feats: Power Atk/CL/GC, SWF x3, SM+ISM, IC:whatever, Imp Shield Bash, Stunning Blow, OC. Enhancements: 36 APs in Ravager (Crit Rage, Blood Str), 14 APs into FB for Frenzy + Supreme Cleave, 13 APs into Vanguard (thru Follow Up), 11 APs in SB for Skirmisher, leaving 6 APs for tweaking.
