    Default TR and Appearance

It would be great if we had an option to retain our appearance when we TR. Of course you would have to remain the same race but this info could be added to the TR screens.

I agree this would be nice.

In the mean time I work around this by having a screen shot of how I want my characters to look and referring back to it every time I TR.

Just write numbers on a paper. If you don't have numbers, make screenshot of your toon before TR to have a model ...

... and don't forget to write numbers during next TR

    Azaxe (Rog18/Wiz2 -> Sorc20/Epic8/Epic10->Sorc(EK)17)

    Precisely what I do.

Ofc, I would love to be able to select retain appearance, but until then...

It should just maintain the appearance set from before you TR.
Then if you want to change something, its a minor adjustment.

it is a pita, when you TR..
on this toon did I have nose 1 or nose 2, what skin pigment did I have, it doesn't look the same as before....

That and my hotbars get wiped...
would like to see the hotbars, channels, comments on friends list... all these things kept as they were from before I TR'd.
Grey out anything that no longer applies, and then I can change what I want to change as needed.

I use the numbers as well, though with every TR I change one small thing, usually just hair or a new scar.

A retain appearance would be nice, though I guess the code isn't built for it considering the warnings we get about the TR process being irreversible.

As for retaining hotbars though: /ui layout save <filename> for each character

I append a 'd' or 'l' for desktop or laptop to my filenames because when I travel, I play with a much smaller resolution, so a couple of my characters have two UI's saved.

That saves the locations of the hotbars themselves, but not the contents..
I do use that function, since I use the same 18 hotbar layout across all my toons.
Some hotbars are universal across the toons for pots, clicies, gear priority and such, the rest vary depending on spell selection and other unique to class/build clicks.

I have 33 Epic Reincarnations on one toon and every ER one I have had to reload the information into my hotbars even though my core class has not changed.

I am ok with adjustments and tweaks, but my core self should not be reset every time I do a Epic Reincarnation.
Even a true Reincarnation I think should have an option retain the original information.
I have even tried using the locks on the appearance screen.. they don't do anything .
