Launcher not responding, stuck on installing pre-reqs

Same here. Finished a quest and went to leave dungeon to get end reward and game locked up on transition screen. After waiting 10 minutes for it to resolve, I had to force quit the game. Now when I try to log in I'm getting a server time our error trying to connect to the patch server.

Yet another Friday night shot due to login issues.

Same issue here i was on earlyier playing had to go do some work just to come home unable to log on with guild raids starting in 10 min.

Well for whatever its worth for the turbine tech types:
- Its definitely a ddo server end issue
- My network/etc is all working at 100% and can find everything else just fine, and I still reset/reinitialized/etc all of it to verify
- Both the lama patch server and live patch server seem to be affected
- It has no bearing on anyone already in game, those players are able to access/play the game just fine

So it seems to me as a layman the first place to look is the patch server which runs filechecks before handing you off to the game server, or however its setup. That first stop in the chain is the issue, and its blocking new people from getting on. Anyone on seems unaffected (but shouldnt log out lest they get caught).

Shrugs, if that speeds things up great. If not, no biggie. Not much else to do atm anyhow =p

Please read some of the posts, others like me, got DC'd then when trying to log in immediately after the issue was there. So yes, some in game were disrupted. Still can't login either.

10:16pm EST, still can't log in. Looks like it's been a problem for over an hour now. Anyone from Turbine care to weigh in?

update: 5 minutes after I posted this, launcher has new announcement: "log-in unavailable, we're investigating"

I mentioned exactly that situation. Anyone who is currently playing is fine, if for any reason you log out (be it DC, relog to clear lag, whatever) youre probably in trouble. Sorry you got DC'd, but Ive checked with multiple people playing before the problem started, who are still playing now, online continuously the whole time, and things are fine for them. Its definitely the patch/login/gateway/whatever server, and not something in-game related.

Reminds me of those posts turbine makes that go like "we are doing maintenance on xyz, new players cannot log in but anyone playing should be unaffected"... its like the same symptoms. So whatever thing that is that gets maintenance'd for those posts, it needs a look =p

Edit: Seems Lotro boards reporting same issue. So it might be a "turbine" server rather than a "ddo" server, if that means anything helpful. Cheers.

What I find funny is that the forums are having issues too... I've got "Sever not found" several times tonight when trying to go from page 1 to page 2 of a post, and page loading is extremely slow... other websites are fine.
