Poll: Whats the most dangerous boss

Who in your opinion would you say is the Toughest / Most Dangerous at level Boss in DDO? I'm not talking about the toughest quest...but who is the toughest boss (Epic Elite Version or Heroic Elite if Epic not availabe)?

Some honorable mentions from my opinion:

Horoth
Cholthulzz
Raiyum
Khaszlokhar - From Reclaiming the Rift
Demon Queen

And Finally Bloodknuckles from Kobolds Ring Leader. He's probably killed more unsuspecting noobs than any other boss in the game.


All of these could easily take you out in very short order if your not well prepared. I know there are others...what are your thoughts.

The "challenge" comes from the waves of (often red-named) trash and other junk like the "blue stuff" in Mark of Death. There isn't a badassed boss anymore.

But since everybody ( including myself ) plays broken 200 prr, 1200 hp and 70 saves pally now, "risk" is greatly reduced.

IMO at the time he was introduced LOB, hes not what he used to be do to power creep but if they uped his damage to EE level 30 he would be a beast.

Next up would be DQ, but same issue.

Early in my game play, the most dangerous boss I remember was Whisperdoom on elite in the level 11 free to play quest. Massive resistance to everything (it seemed), moved around a lot, big AOE attack that you couldn't evade (Horrid Wilting, I think), high damage and fast regeneration. She slaughtered several full parties I was in, sometimes more than once when we did the recall-re-entry thing just trying to complete. She became less fearsome over the years, of course.

The Barnizidu fight is still quite difficult at level, and almost certain to kill some of the group if multiple people go down. The Marilith at the end of Bastion of Power has always killed at least a few people whenever I've run it.

Not an uber leet raid boss or anything, but Desaga from Enter the Kobold.

From his natural kobold jumping anti-grav skill where he jumps out over the lava and hangs out there, to his knack for jumping INTO the lava every time you about have him killed so that he 'dies' and repops at full health, he can be frustrating.

My vote actually goes to Xy'zzy. Recently even tried this again at level. And party wipe.

She is nasty.

And true true part of her nastiness is the friends that she has around her that make her hard.

for several stated reasons, epic bosses aren't dangerous anymore, but thinking at lvl, heroic and solo (and even grouping sometimes XD), come to my mind:
- dead pyxzyl cause he is lovely, and yaultoon and his minions, cause they are annoying, both in in the flesh
- dead reaver in sos, i mean for the opt chest, cause... well, cause it's annoying to keep the track of which mephits are up lol
- auroa in elite demon's den, cause haven't done it in years, scary memories come to my mind, reaons are obvious: most vets don't know how to run it yet (same as pit fiend in new invasion)
- whisperdoom in tangleroot, cause it's not needed, like the wraith in catacombs, and both are almost unkillable, sigh well designed quests
- iron fire bomber in blown to bits depending the build
- that lich in that spiral tower in delera's graveyard with his mantle of invulnerability, i've seen lfm of capped players asking for help in that boss XD


imho the only hard bosses are in old quests and for players who don't know the quest, cause they are unkillable (like yaultoon or aurora when their shield is up) meanwhile, from a point til now, doesn't matter if you don't know the weak point of a boss, you can brute force it and kill it

ofc all i have meant are heroic, and have been killed, wonder how many players have done it solo and elite at lvl w/o twink gear XD

PS: bloodknuckles... he made me run til the shrine on fear, was playing a pure clr my 1st life (with stats as in pnp, so had more dex than con as example lol) and ran out of sp, good old times, when there was something called surprise factor, now we know not only the monsters' location, also their walking route even

Surprised no-one's mentioned the "Summoned Fire Elemental" in Lair of Summoning yet.

That thing is nasty at level when soloing {unless you're on an ice sorc of course!}.

I am assuming of course that the OP wants examples of super dangerous bosses to the unprepared newbie soloing elite at level {Not having the right weapon, Group specced build, someone without shipbuffs!}.
