    Default The Duality!

    NAME
    RACE CLASS LEVEL
    DEATH COUNT
    Rhylow Human Paladin 6 0
Mechablast WF Sorcerer 6 1 The Captives
    Flowerwall Half-Elf FVS 6 0
    Safanna Squishy Art/Bard/Rogue 2/3/1 0
    Krideyr Squishy Rogue 6 0
    Skullaris WF Cleric/Fighter 5/1 0

We finished the Lost Seekers, including all the optionals, on elite then proceeded to clear out
    The Catacombs.

Mechablast re-specced to fire and burned his way through the undead while Skullaris, Flowerwall, and Rhylow chopped up zombies and smashed up skeletons. Safanna lent crucial ranged support, and Krideyr helped train Flowerwall with his spot healing skills by constantly dropping to single digits. It's a karmic reversal of the big buddy/little buddy roles.

Mechablast is still the only 7 and Out! member with a death after three weeks, but don't be surprised to see Krideyr soon join him in that accomplishment. 97 HPs. Just saying.

Default The spoils of 4 person play...

    NAME
    RACE CLASS LEVEL
    DEATH COUNT
    Rhylow Human Paladin 7 0
Mechablast WF Sorcerer 6 1 The Captives
    Flowerwall Half-Elf FVS 7 0
    Safanna Squishy Art/Bard/Rogue 2/4/1? 1Despair
    Krideyr Squishy Rogue 7 1Laundry
    Skullaris WF Cleric/Fighter 5/1 0

We started the night waiting, just the two of us, we can make it just the two...err, three of us waiting, and actually using guild chat! Seriously, who knew you could type in that channel?! We quickly partied up so we could hear each other's soothing voices talk about how strong we were, how powerful we were, how we were just gonna say goodnight if no one else showed up. Not that we were scared! No! Eventually we had an entirely robot free party, missing only Mechablast and Skullaris. I decided to take charge! And immediatly disconnected. But the others did not follow suit, so we ran: The Sharn Syndicate.

About half way thru, I realized I *was* the healer. Gulp. Tl;Dr, people died. I mostly ragret Krideyr, I was SO close to saving him, hit points dropping fast, a half sec difference and he would still be with us. We were all humbled. We vowed to be more careful next time. We finished the hellacious Bookbinder Rescue with nary a hitch, except a close dance off with Gramma Binda, the hot-steppa. I had a screenshot, but it was deleted under threat of lawsuit from Grampa Binder. She should've challenged the monsters to a dance off, she can really cut the rug!

Finishing up sharn, spending more time running between Zircon's master and the entrance then actually IN the quests, we next ran the Depths quests in House D. We rounder a corner, we saw the elephant, we watched in open mouthed horror as Safanna fell. One-shotted, by a Burger King (gift cards now usable in store!) wanna-be. We don't know if it was a cold ray, or lightning bolt, or what- Safanna wasn't talking.

We finished up the Depths chain, running all 4 quests in short order. But in the last, we killed the boss, thereby gaining completion, but were asailed (is that spelled right? Arowboated?) by TWO champ orgres, at lease that I could see. Ding, ding, goes the trolley. If the trolley floated, and went from shore to shore on the river Styx. We decided not to count these deaths, as we were finished, and it's entirely the fault of the two people who didn't show up and that's our story and we're sticking with it, the end.

Besides this cheese factor tonight, we all had a blast! (Just not a Mechablast) And we did learn some important lessons: The more people you have, the more meatshields you have. Or metalshields. I'm tired, goodnight.

ps. I have never had as much stress/fun playing this game as I did tonight. Timing the heals, my offense, and trying to keep folks in line of sight, was exhileratingly heartattacky.

Safanna got killed by a double shot of scorching rays. Maybe she should have taken that second level of rogue instead of waiting till level 9. Anyway she did score a+1 tome of health from Bugundy Tir for the Stormreaver Fresco.

Default December 16, 2015. The day we stopped playing.

We decided not to play tonight as it was just the four of us from last time. See you next week!

Sorry but it looks like Skullaris won't be able to make it until January, holiday schedule sucks. If I don't see you before hand, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    Default Master! He's ALIVE!!

Well, it never ceases to amaze me. Put in a username and password and see what name comes up. I knew I had made my forum account here, but couldn't remember...until now.

In defense of Krideyr, not a moment too soon...

Not gonna recap Orzenn's "epic" heals, his bromance with his "little buddy" or his now "squishy" trap-booming, I mean trap disabling, dagger dancing rogue as Krideyr. 1,200 HP? Bah! AAANNYBODy can do that. Now try running the quests will fewer hit points than a one-legged pirate has toes. That's when you feel alive (not throwing a pun out there, but hey...let's roll with it). Granted, our rogue seeming forgets that he's NOT a barbarian with said 1,200 HP that he seems to have recently played just two nights earlier. Meh. I'm keeping those healers' fast "click-heal (walk around one corner) click-heal (take two steps) click-heal* skills up.

    You're welcome.

Really enjoying running with this group. Getting used to the new role. Trying not to take down all the traps as Safanna is a more than capable trap dude-ette...but yeah, hogging all those traps. :P I'm significantly less familiar of the trap locations on the mid to high level quests (case in point.....Barbarian: "RAAAARRGGHH!!! FIGHT!!! CHARGE!!! <ding>)

In regards to Wednesdays of late. We've been short manned <insert halfling joke here> for a couple weeks now. As noted above, we didn't do anything last week. With Skullaris out until January and the "Festivus for the rest of us" just a couple days away, we may want to consider putting this on hold for another couple weeks. I'm happy to keep running with a smaller group, but I'm concerned with the catch-up others will have to do. Thoughts? Regardless, Krideyr will be around to see what happens. He may be slipping some of his gold festival coins in some of purses of the Rusty Nail Dancers...but that's another story.

Being the newest member of the group, I may not be anticipating all the issues of moving ahead, but I’m really enjoying 7 AND OUT!, and I’d like to keep going. With four members, we are viable for a time. Why not see how far we can get? By January, we may have all hit seven deaths, or Rhylow will rage quit, or…who knows? There are so many variables that can change in RL and in-game that it makes it difficult to predict how long any given group will last. When Skullaris is available again, we can reroll, we can help him level with alts, or, maybe, he can use an alt.

Aak—keep your gold coins! Didn’t your mother tell you not to put your coins into something that you don’t know where it’s been? Those purses get around!

If you're still having trouble with Win10, https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/down...s.aspx?id=8109

Thats the full off-line download of DirectX 9. Seems to be helping sometimes.

    See you in January!

I've started drinking already. When I win the lotto, I'm going to open a quiet library across from Turbine's offices. It'll be full of wizards and tomes of great knowledge.

I, too, have been greatly enjoying this group. I'm willing to give it a shot! Seems to me that the typical party was always four members anyway. Red wizard, blue valkyrie, etc. They did just fine, right? Oh wait, what are these bodies in herioc shroud?

I'm willing to give it a shot. Oh wait, I said that. We might even be able to re-roll several times before the others return!

I'm not having computer issues, it's my holiday work schedule. I don't get off work until the time we are supposed to start, 9:00 for me, and that's if I leave on time.

I vote roll with what you got. Catching up is on the players who missed for whatever reason. And if someone falls a bit behind, I have no issues with a level spread since none of us are chronic pikers.

If someone misses multiple sessions then just recruit more.

When all else fails, blame Rhylow.

We ran some house D, particualrly The black Loch. we DID NOT get completion, something about opening a door with a key. Yes Saf died! He sat at minus 8 hp for quitre the bit. I just stared at it, marveled at how low can the hitpoint limbo go? Then i healed the wrong person.

Told you I wasnt' a good healer.

I think we ran some necro as well.

This week, no one died. (thank goodness) We finished up something but I don't remember what. We also tried to do more house D, but that missing comp really stops us. Now we are running the neverending chief urghurs storyline...

Well, I think you're a rock star of healing. You care about keeping us well, and that counts for a lot. Can't just look at the one that got away--what about all those times we HAVEN't died because of you? Besides, you can cheer like nobody's business.

Yes, yes, we're definitely in the throes of Splinterskull. Splinterskull! Splinterskull! No escaping that for me!

You're a great healer. Everyone forgets how important the healer is...until there's no healer. I told track how many times I saw the light approach only to be yanked back into the living world thanks to your heals. So for every heal....thank you.

About playing chicken with our soul stones, however...

Ha ha ha the Tangleroot quest chain is so boring. Hardly challenging for us too. We can drop it and go to another one. Elite TOEE? Anyone? Anyone?
