    Default Assassin's Trick Assassinations!

Ever run into a pesky Wood Woad you can't seem to kill? Ever come against one of those annoying Vine Horrors and just don't want to deal with it! Well I have the solution. Assassin's Trick is an assassin ability that let's you lower an enemy's fortification by 25% AND lower their sneak attack immunity by the same amount. This enables you to sneak attack an enemy that can't normally be sneak attacked, but what some people don't know is that it also enables you to assassinate an enemy that can't normally be assassinated.

This is what I hope to be a near-comprehensive list on types of enemies that you can use this ability on to assassinate them.

If you run into an enemy you can't assassinate, please try this and chime in with your results!

    Successful Tests:
    -Wood Woads
    -Plant Zombies (Red Musk Zombies)
    -Vine Horrors
    -Evil Eyes

    Failed Tests:
    -Wisps

A nice feature: if you bluff and immediatly trigger Assassin Trick, both apply within the bluff animation. This is a nice way to get rid of the long Assassin trick animation and assassinate/sneak attack Elementals and others.

Does regular fort bypass enable assassinate in such situations or is it actually Assassin's trick? I am wondering how you tested this if so. Thx for information!

Regular fort bypass doesn't seem to affect this. I tested in a before and after kind of way, where the only variable was Assassin's Trick. I tried to assassinate once, then waited for the CD and used Assassin's Trick, then assassinated again.

Depends if the mob is immune to sneak attack or just has 100% fort.

If its immune to sneak attack, then assassins trick is needed as it removes the SA immunity.

If the mob just has high fort, even 100% fort, but is not sneak attack immune, fort bypass helps.

Many mobs believed to be SA immune just have 100% fort. These are the mobs you get SA on once every few hits - as that is your fort bypass kicking in. This includes quite a few types of constructs.

Sorry, no. I've been on a bit of a break from DDO, and I reincarnated my rogue. But I'll be continuing my tests next life.
