Then the fix for this ought to be to quit considering orbs as "shields" for everything. That way druids would be able to use them with no restrictions.
Though, honestly, I have no idea why this even matters. It isn't like Shield Mastery/Orb builds are breaking the game. They're a niche combo that makes clever use of feats to make a few unique builds viable. I'm about fed up with the recent focus on homogenization of builds and pigeon-holing of classes. Slowly but surely the things that make DDO unique and that keep you getting my subscription dollars are being chipped away. If you're looking to make DDO like every other MMORPG on the market, don't expect to stick around for long. There are plenty of games that do the "generic MMORPG with your builds laid out for you" thing way better than DDO with much better graphics and a lot more players.

This is a bug, and is planned to be fixed for U24. Thanks for the heads-up here as well as in Bug Reports.
Shield Mastery and Improved Shield Mastery provide no PR or Doublestrike, despite the description.
I don't even see it in 'Known Issues'...
Can we get an update about a fix?
