Ranger & Two handed

Okay, so call me a noobie if you want. I was playing DnD PnP when most of your were glint's in a mage's eye.

I have a question regarding how to dual wield weapons. I've got a level 4 ranger and taken the Two-handed fighting and Two-weapon fighting feats. How in Beezlebub's back side do I equip a weapon to my off hand?

just drag one weapon into one hand and then the other into the other hand(you don't need the feat to equip 2 weapons just to be any good at hitting things-Not to tell you what to do or anything and I am kind of new and may have misunderstood your post but did you take the 2 handed fighting feat? Just asking cause 2 weapon fighting comes as a free feat if you are going to be a ranger as you level so you may want to change that with fred in house jorasco.

Hey call me a a noobie, please! Yeah, by accident I took Two-handed fighting. Some directions to House Jorasco would be appreciated and hopefully it doesn't cost Real World Money to remove it.

As for Two-weapon fighting I dragged a long sword and a short sword to the 10-little boxes panel. Clicking on them does nothing. I also went to my inventory screen and double-clicked each item, no go. Finally, I tried dragging in the inventory screen my short sword to the off-hand portion with the same deal.

To add insult to injury the game hung with my character not able to move. All he could do was rotate and attack. After exiting out of the game and restarting, I get the dreaded "Loading New Game Data" death screen. I see no one has a solution to this one even after numerous ...complaints... Same problem so I restarted my computer, went back in and got the same thing, DRATS!

My connection is just fine, I even uploaded a 40meg file to my online server as a test and downloaded an even larger one at 92meg. No problems on my end.

Finally, after 15 minutes of throwing spitballs, the serve is back up.

Update: Thanks to the Lords of Waterdeep for a 30-somthing daughter. She showed me the "other" tab in the inventory window. Dragging my short sword solved the problem. Now where is that "Shamefaced Smiley."

Someone ought to get around to writing a primer for us 'Ol Grey Beards and online games—showing the mechanics of the game.

well i am at work or would be glad to try and sign on to help you-It might be the game just lagging and nothing you are doing. You can find house jorasco from the marketplace... You can use platinum to change your feats but it might be too much money for you-there is also a quest in the marketplace that gives a free token ...

as far as those ten or so boxes at teh bottom you shoudl be able to drag 2 weapons into one and then put that on your hot bar to change to that weapom set.

kind of a grey beard myself so no big deal... the ddo wiki is out of date in many ways i guess some people on here woudl tell you but it still has a bunch of great info-You should check it out some time if you get the chance-I keep it open when I am playing because as I said I am not so far ahead of you.... keep playing and have fun-here is teh info on fred teh mind flayer.

Thanks for the help. I'll give your kindly proffered link a look-see. Dragon Age comes out today so I think I'll give it a shot, 'pending on how many pennies in the bank.
