    This is most likely why there is heal amp in the barb cores and Tier 5 self healing. Remove the negs from SF pots and suddenly they become attractive to every build causing game breaking issues. Cut the healing in half with no negs and make it cost plat or a favor unlock and it still becomes attractive to almost all builds, at the very least as a good back up when sp is on timer or run out of sp.

    Awhile back I had suggested enhancements or in the core for barbs that gain more healing from pots to the point that they could reliably get ~500 from CSW. This would be good incentive to go pure, make them more survivable and only the barb would get the benefit without having to rework SF pots or develop new pots that other classes can gain yet another source of healing. Right now I see some will multi class just for some extra heal amp, but watch what happens down the road sometime when the devs develop other sources of heal amp.

    I think the devs not giving barbs a substantial DPS lead over pally and bard while at the same time not changing how much rage penalties gimp barbarian survivability is the real issue here. There's absolutely no reason to play a barbarian as long as their DPS is only comparable to pallies/bards.

    There are only 2 ways to fix barbs -

    1) Make rage penalties worth dealing with. Increase their DPS while raging so it's significantly higher than Bards and Pallies. 25% higher at minimum.

    2) Let them self-heal like everyone else, remove rage penalties


    I would hate to see the devs go with #2, it completely goes against the flavor of the class. Devs seem to agree with this, as well as most players. So we're left with option #1. Let's do it devs. Adding 10 melee power to rage was a good start and a step in the right direction, but rage needs more DPS appeal to be attractive.

    A barb should feel like a gimp when it is NOT raging, not the other way around.
