Default XP bonuses for under level questing

How about a +20% XP bonus for every level under the base quest level up to 5 levels under for up to +100%? (or 10% to 50%... some bonus, whatever)

I've heard talk of under level xp bonus in the past. Did this used to be in the game?

Seems like an easy way to give more of a challenge to the "it's too easy" crowd.

    What are the drawbacks?

Absolutely the worst possible thing the Devs could do at this point in time!

BB showed perfectly why Players will gravitate towards the highest XP option and made it harder for Newbies to get any traction in DDO!

IF Tempest Spine for example could be done at Lvl 8 for more XP than at Lvl 12 you can bet your bottom dollar that over 90% of LFMs for Tempest Spine would be max lvl 8!
And Newbies without geared up toons {possibly still on Pre-Made Builds} would have absolutely no hope of contributing in there AND no chance of getting a group at Lvl 10-12 when they actually NEED that quest for XP!

In the old days it was a good thing but no longer there is already plenty of ways to boost xp we don't need more

Level 8 used to mean "go do madstone".

    Good times.

So...Rather than running the multitude of Lvl 7-13 quests you want to be able to skip past them all and run Madstone a dozen times?

    Why?

Back then there was no TR.

So dealing with 1st lifer xp and cap being 16, it was common to get to 8-10 do GH/Necro 4 until level 13, and then flag for shroud and cap 16 off shroud/hox/vod. Was a different time is all.
    Git off mah lawn!

    False statement is false.

I don’t have a stake in a change like this, as I’m no longer concerned about heroic lives.

I use a box any time I’m forced to drastically change builds via TR.

Who cares if a certain portion of heroic content is skipped? There is plenty to hit 20 with.

While I love the bonus XP from Bravery Bonus and Streak Bonus, I don't think we need another XP bonus that reduces the level range for running quests. It's tough enough on newbs to begin with.

It's always a shame when the hammer of poor design choices smashes the fun of player tactical adaptation.
