I honestly doubt thats what happend.
Lets assume it did. Just assume.
What you could had done was to simply hover over the lfm and check where he is.
Help yourself before blaming others.
Unfortunately attitudes that the opening poster described still exist and this just adds to the issues and concerns there are for the lack of groups being put into the LFM panel and for the lack of groups getting filled. Would it have been that hard to pass on what quest the party leader was planning on doing or if the party leader was just planning on doing the s/r/e?
Oh well, maybe the leader was just having a bad day or something.

Matter of fact, I did hover over the lfm. When I did, some players were in the orchard and others had not yet made it there.
My question was just so that I would know what the plan was, since the lfm itself and the current locations of the players didn't provide illumination.
JFTR, I am one of those guys who posts lfms with "all welcome" and "no zerg" in them all the time. I like to group better than to solo, and this unfriendly person isn't going to change that.
And to the Mr. T guy, I pity the fool!
edit: @blackheartox - what I described in the OP was exactly, word-for-word what happened. Why on earth would you go around accusing people of lying?

I've had people drop my group after I ask for a ship invite. Made me a little angry until I found that when you right click the party members icon, the "Invite to Airship" and "Leave Party" selections are right next to each other. I had to accidentally click the wrong option before even realizing this poor UI menu.

It was really rude to kick you for asking that question, but the XP grind mentality of eTR slowly forces players into that mindset. Those familiar with the routine know an LFM von/spies/wiz know that it will be a loose collaboration of mercenaries running thru as fast as possible. For the Necro epics its the same thing, most people will post one quests and not change the LFM moving thru them as fast as possible to get an item chain end reward. You are better off joining an EE group if you actually want some semblance of cooperation and pacing.
And players still behave like there are thousands of other new players joining and playing everyday. The ocean of players is not as large as it once was, but people are still stuck in the mindset of a huge player base, rather than a shrinking mud puddle. In the end they will have their poor attitude and social skills to keep them company and the crickets : ) )
In my perfect world, whenever someone else was in a party with someone who performs a jerk action against another player, the rest of the players in the group would express their disdain for such actions and drop group themselves.
Eventually, I think the jerks would get tired of having no one to play with and change their attitudes.
But alas bad behavior is not only tolerated, but quite often praised.
Nah not accusing, but in 99% of cases of threads like this, opener usually hides that 1 thing that started the whole fiasco.
But from my experience it usually happens like this:
xx rejected me for being xx, its not fair.
Someone provokes opener, opener says, yes that one time i kicked him and said he should unistall ddo.
Usually its like that.
If it was as you said then yea, rude person, ignore move on.
I have an ideal, Don't be so sensitive, get some thicker skin..
I've been on both ends of the spectrum on this but never booted from a party.
As for the LFM, I would of taken it as they are doing SRE's as most people that "ARE" doing the quest will add the difficulty of the quest they will be doing, I.E. Orchard Elite's, or have Orchard as the selected quest, with Elite's in the comment section of the LFM. Either way, don't cry if you don't know what is going on with the party and you get booted for asking a question that the leader deemed as a stupid question, because in his mind it was self explanatory and he obviously felt you where a noob for asking the question in the first place and didn't want to be bothered with holding your hand. a lot of players that have been here for a long time unfortunately get this sort of mind set when they are in "lets get this done", or also known as Zerg Mode. And if you get your feelings hurt over someone else's attitude in a video game then I would suggest that you need some counseling.
In all honesty, i was the same as well.
I would kick people etc if they ask what house, share.
But when i was like that, xp wasnt overflowing like its now.
No bb, no pots, no first time, no streak etc and no daily resets.
Grinding trs was hardcore and that attitude could had been forgiven since people like me had limited time to play and that loss of 10% was big back then.
Now?
I just dont care, i share quest, wait til they enter to complete and move on.
Death? Who cares.
Red alert? Who cares
Ddo is a game which requires different mentality then 5-6 years ago
Isn't the anonymity of the interwebs great?
People say and do things that would garner them a beating if said/done face to face.
But have to be careful too...
On the flip side, once all these socially inept pugtards have nobody left to play with they will cry and whine that they have nobody left that will group with them, leading to more calls for more solo-friendly content or more work done with hirelings - since they will be the only thing left the would join a group with them.
But they won't be alone.... that is the sad part.
I see it all the time. (almost) No one leaves their groups.
They are basically praised in-game and receive a standing ovation on the forums.
Even the friendliest players I see, just stay in the group and continue the quest.
No one takes a stand against them.
Just seems to me that if the community took a stand against jerkinest, and created a culture of friendly play, we could eliminate this ****.
But I can probably count on one hand the people who will actually leave the group of someone who treats another player badly.
