Id like to review the simple process of copying in DDO and pasting links in your browser. Some have had trouble in tributes past, so I'd like to clear up all doubts.

1. Highlight the link by holding down the left button of your mouse and dragging across the link. Press CTRL C.

2. Open your browser and click where you normally type your web address. Press CTRL V.

3. Some of the videos are processed in HD. Depending on your PC however, you may only be able to handle standard definition, while DDO is open. On the bottom right of the video, you have options to play in 320p up to 1080p HD. You can go full screen, but I only advise those will really good PCs and high speed internet speed to try that!

Tonight we'll be paying tribute to a Canadian hero, and a retired American Marine that risked his life to pay his respects in the best way he knew how. A heartfelt tribute we'd like to share with the DDO community.


There is a wide cultural gap between those who have no relationship with the Armed Forces and those who've served their country. Closing that gap is as necessary as it is long overdue. That is the main reason I participate in these events each year, and why we'll keep doing them.

Whether it's a simple conversation with a veteran or their family member or volunteering, get involved. Figure out what you do best and offer that skill. If you're a mental health professional, donate your services to Give an Hour, which connects counselors to service members, veterans and their families.

Reach out to? TAPS, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, which connects family members who have lost service members and veterans in similar ways. For instance, if someone's brother died of an IED attack in Iraq, TAPS links that person with a peer who has lost a sibling in Iraq.

The National Military Family Association and Blue Star Families also connects military families with leaders in the civilian community.

"The Uncounted" highlighted an innovative New York clinic that broke from the traditional approach by linking the VA and a private hospital system so both could operate in a single shared office space. Patients, including one Iraq veteran and his wife, credit the clinic for saving their marriage.

The RAND Corporation has recently secured funding for a yearlong study of the clinic's efficacy to see if the program should be replicated across the country, said senior adviser to the project Terri Tanielian, whose career has been focused on veterans issues.

An overwhelming number of nonprofits and community groups have popped up over the past decade, making it harder to find a good one, she and others say. Tanielian recommended Welcome Back Veterans, which is intended to help people in the community link to veterans.

The effort spans the country, and is based at medical and academic institutions in Boston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Durham, North Carolina. Read an in-depth analysis of the program.

With 22 US Veteran suicides a DAY, One every 65 MINUTES, it is NEVER too late. This is a toll that has surpassed the number of soldiers killed in combat. And the above organizations really can help before its TOO LATE. This is something you can do... today, or tomorrow. A family you will most likely never meet might be eternally grateful you did.

Hello and welcome all to our Veterans Day Ceremony!

This is also known as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day in other parts of the world, and we sincerely thank our international brothers & sisters to stand with us here today.

I am in the Tyrs Paladium guild here on Ghallanda. I will be the MC for today's ceremony. Thank you all for taking a bit of time away from questing to be here today.

As we begin, I'd like to start with a poem. Its a simple, but powerful and memorable poem. We in Tyrs Paladium have used it in every ceremony we've ever done.


"It is the Soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us Freedom of the Press.

It is the Soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us Freedom of Speech.

It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the Freedom to demonstrate.

The Tyrs Paladium Guild, along with the Dungeons & Dragons Online gaming community pays its respects to the man who would not carry a gun, yet braved near in-human conditions to save 75 men within hours during one battle alone, in World War II. Canadian physician and Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae is popularly believed to have written Flanders Field on 3 May 1915, after he witnessed the death of his friend, Lieutenant Alexis Helmer, 22 years old, the day before. The poem was first published on 8 December of that year in the London-based magazine Punch.

We are going to pay tribute to CPL. Nathan Cirillo, who was cowardly shot while guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa. Since the terrorist attack in Canada that took his life, there's been such an outpouring of support. One particular showing really is worth detailing, an incredible statement of support by American and Canadian Hero, and 5 time Purple Heart recipient Major Sinke. We also pay tribute to Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, who also lost his life just this past October.
