It tastes so mind-numbingly sweet that, in true Xoriat fashion, the sugar can either cast a haste spell on you, or energy drain you into sleeping for three months. Some have unofficially dubbed it "death by chocolate."

While researching ancient relics for sources of magic from the Giant Empire,
Jeanselme Brucetius, (still a young intern of the Twelve @that time) discovered a strange
but edible crystal formation from deep within a cavern.

Jean, as her friends call her, later found that by simply adding a bit of sugarcane and a few (still secret) herbs and insect wings to the ground up crystals they could be melded together and used as a base in different forms.
The process is still widely used today, and results in what we now know it as in its most common form: Manakai Crystalia Powderus -or by its street name, simply: Mana. (3 parts MCP and 1 part Pure Water)

However, it was Brucetius's more obscure ideas that went to the wayside as unpractical, but are still baked to this day right behind the Enclave on Thursdays.
