Panther Companion Pet -Limited Edition

I would really love to be able to buy the Panther Companion (the one that fights along with you) from the DDO store. I bought the pack just a little to late to be able to get the companion. Would like to know if anyone else feels the same

I think it would be a good seller for awhile. I have a Panther and two owl bears and they really can be useful.

It should never ever be available again no matter what it was suppose to be a pre-order bonus only and to sell it again would be a slap in the face of those that pre-ordered another pet would be fine but NOT that one

Um, sour grapes much? I have it and would have no problem if they put them out there again for sale with turbine points. Game is slowly dying and something like this to help the bottom line is not the worst thing out there, no?

I definitely would like the opportunity to purchase these -- or the equivalent if there are protective feelings about the owlbear/panther. And while I would obviously like any purchased companions to be BTA (and show up automatically for each new character thereafter, as with the pre-order, although I imagine that would be exorbitantly priced), I would also seriously consider one that was BTC.

No,it's bait and switch they should either say pre-order only or state a period where it won't be available and no,I never use the stupid pet or any other hireling but it's the principle of the thing

Also I don't think you understand the term sour grapes it would correct if I didn't have the item and then said oh I don't want it anyways since it is probably horrible

Well maybe sacrifice a bit of ur "principle of the thing" lol and the lights might stay on longer in DDO land. I have them and use them (panthers/owlbears), but either way for the future and good of the game.... I'm willing to let it slide if it brings in some cash to keep things rolling/surviving longer.

Selling something promised to be available for a limited time isn't going to keep the lights on one second and could hurt future sales since people will be less likely to preorder and will wait for it to be on sale it would do more harm than could breaking promises than making whiney come lately types happy

Personally, even though I have the owlbears and panther, I wouldn't much mind them selling them at this point if people want them. But I understand that some will be upset, so the idea of making something else as a permanent pet wouldn't be bad.

Yes make something don't break a promise that it was a limited time deal but do offer others things so people don't feel totally left out

while I wouldnt mind a succubus pet, I doubt that'd go over well with the masses. Would be veiwed as overly sexist (even if they included an incubi version), not to mention they are evil, and thus that would involve bending them against their will to serve us. Again not against it, just the idea wouldnt go over well.


also, wouldnt mind them introducing a companion that could be based on your character level, so your able to use it the entire life.

The coding is there and it's easy money. Especially for newer players who didn't even have a chance at buying it.

I believe in the FAQ, as well as other posts, that they wouldnt release the panther again.


also, isnt it still possible to get the owlbears from the DDO market? (think you need to buy the shadowfell bundle with it, and add it as an extra)

I couldn't afford the bundle with the Panther when it came out, money was too tight.

Turbine made a promise that it would be exclusive. Thats exactly what it should be. Its called INTEGRITY.

If you want something as effective as the cat, then they can throw on a few wiskers on and call it a Wolly Mammoth, or they can make it bald and call it the Hair Club President... ANYTHING but that panther.
