    Default Question re dwarf tree

Sorry if this has been answered before could not find it after searching-Kind of new to the game and was thinking of starting a dwarf build that would use constitution for damage and wear heavy armor shield and use dwarven axes but I was wondering what this means?

Stand Like Stone: Action Boost: For 12/15/20 seconds you gain +10/+20/+30 Balance, Physical Resistance Rating, and stacking Energy Resistance, but have a 50% penalty to movement speed, sink in water, and cannot fly. (Cooldown: 3 minutes.)

Mostly the part about not being able to fly? I did not think any one could fly in this game?

any build's woudl be appreciated-not sure if i shoudl go pure fighter or paladin or what?

    thanks in advance guys!

In The Reaver's Fate, the Stormreaver casts the Fly spell on party members, which is necessary to finish the raid. I think he also casts it in Reaver's Refuge, IIRC; been a loooong time since I've been there. I don't remember if Stand Like Stone cancels out Feather Fall, but it probably does.

Right now pure pallies are a lot better than they were pre-U23, thanks to various improvements in the PrEs and esp. Holy Sword. There's not much point in going CON-based on a pally, though, since they get Div Might (+STR bonus based on CHA). Actually, there's not much point in going CON-based on a pure ftr, either, since there are still more ways of boosting STR than CON and the only benefits of being CON-based are higher HPs and Fort saves. But dwarf is still a solid choice for S&B build if you can afford the APs to max out Dwarf Fortress (up to +7% S&B DPS).

I've not yet updated it for U23, but see my Dwarven Defender thread. I've also posted a pure dwarf pally build here, though the Enhancements need respeccing.

    Thanks for the HELP!
