When they're not out plundering the (how many seas does Eberon have?), the pirates are busy caring for the kobold union workers. Someone has to maintain their gear, see that all are treated properly, and enforce the union rules (no, you can not carry a crystal in your hands!).

Attempt to disrupt the activities of the renowned Kobold Miner's Union, typically by waves of assault underneath and nearby House Cannith. Probably in cahoots with House C which funds them to assault rival House D.

Not sure about the grunts, but the shamans try to perfect their landing after being blasted 421 feet when the crystal they were chanting at are destroyed.

What do the pirates in Crystal Cove do when they're not plundering Crystal Cove?
They draw maps to the dungeons where they hide their loot, dungeons filled with puzzles and deadly traps. Oh, and lots of guardians, especially undead because the best way to keep a secret is to make sure no one else except you knows about it.

Recruit. Older pirates guard the airships and treasure while the new guys head below and plunder. Since the new guys invariably end up in Davy Jones' Locker, the old guys get richer and richer. It is all a pyramid scheme.
