    Default 13rogue/6monk/1 druid

    Hello,

I want to build a trapper that has much more sustainability and damage. Hence, I decided to splash 6 monk because of the compliments of monks to rogue. I also decided to go magical training for bonus sp to cast cocoon. My question now is if I go ninja spy core 1 for shorts word proficiency, single weapon fighting, and equipping an orb in my off hand(proficiency from mag training) will I still be centered to do stances and finishing moves? Or will the orb uncenter me?

when I saw your level split I assumed you would wield wooden staves

Orbs are not ki weapons, so yes, equipping one will uncenter you, unfortunately. The only way to be a SWF monk is to keep your offhand empty.

    Hi,

I played with that exact same split as Dex-build Thief Acrobat, and I had a blast. At some point I realized that Magical Training just wasn't necessary, so after a few trial-and-error LRs, I've settled with 12rogue/6monk/2fighter. That way I still get knockdown immunity from T-A, my trapping skills and UMD are sufficient, PLUS I get 2 extra feats and cheaper Action Boost: Haste from Fighter. To cast Cocoon I have slotted Topaz of Power and I also use Heal scrolls for self heals. In Unyielding Sentinel ED, you get extra SP and useful healing SLAs.

Quarterstaves are my weapon of choice, and to improve my DPS I have taken Cleave, Great Cleave, all 4 THF feats, IC: Bludgeon, Overwhelming crit and Improved Sneak Atk. With Sireth crit range is 13-20x3 and on 19-20 rolls the multiplier goes up to x5, while in Mountain Stance.

Dodge stays consistently at 28%, Ninja gives 25% incorp, AC is around 110 (doesn't really help in more challenging epics), and concealment is 20% from Blurry item (goes up to 50% with Displace clicky).

While this build doesn't exceed in anything, it's fun to play with, which is the most important aspect for me
