Actually, not that bad of an idea at it's core.

So all in all, these stories about dupping killing the game are not clear to me.
That you for the reply. You are lucky that you have not seen the impact of duping on your server. Unfortunately, my server is where most of this started.

    I will retort with;

Have you looked at the AH/ASAH? You can easily see the vast amount of duped mats from Thunderholm.

That is not killing the game itself, but sure did those raids - not even run anymore thanks to the overabundance of duped mats. Buy mats on AH/ASAH, of course in stacks of 1000s as they all appear, run down to the forge, boom, you now have your T2 weapon and never had to run either raid. Wait? You want to finish it? Good luck. Combination of bypassess and duping has ended these two very good raids.

Several and repeated closures of Quests and Sagas because of exploiting. Sure is not helpful for content to be closed for 98% of the population because of 2% of people that cant play by the same rules as the rest of us.

This kind of **** is not going to kill the game overnight but people get fed up with this kinda BS and leave. With so many complaining about the population shouldn't this be addressed?

Duped mats is one thing, but a lot of the items are still very good, if not best in slot. The actual reason thunderholme raids are not run are completely different for the two raids. For the shadow dragon raid, it's not run because it's an awful raid with repetitive mechanics. It's perhaps even worse than CITW in being the most hated raid of all time. For fire peaks the problem is the exact opposite. The raid is simply way too simplistic. It's easily shortmanned, duoed or even soloed. It doesn't help that the loot from that raid isn't as good.

Oh? Maybe that's just Khyber then. I usually have no problems getting a TDW group together on Thel or Ghal. Doesn't sound like there is much of a raiding scene at all left on Khyber which is a shame (and consistent with my experiences). The good thing about TDW is you don't have to wait for the party to fill and I kind of enjoy setting up the mirrors solo for a while. Feels a bit like von5 there.

If people aren't duping then there are multiple variants of weapons people would like to make as their builds change providing an incentive to raid those two.

CITW with its terrible heroic Comms drop rate not so much.

Edit: actually I take this back. I'm having a harder time getting raids in on two other servers too these days. The whole scene is just getting harder and harder to get things done... and yet there is all this raid loot with appalling drop rates. Thankful for the full selection on a 20th even if it takes me months to actually get 20 completions as there are so few raids run that I can get into.

Those duped raid timer bypasses are hurting the game and I'm all for a solution to that, but this solution is basically circling back to where it started.
Raids have a 3 day timer -> paid bypasses of this timer -> bypasses get a timer -> (paid bypasses of the bypasses' timer?) lol
You need to find a more creative solution than that

I do not hate the game I have played since beta, but I am growing increasingly frustrated with the lack of vision. I simply wish that Turbine would advertise and give a **** about players leaving. They only seem to be interested in what they can monetize.
Now THIS I can fully agree with. There is an ever increasing feeling of... lets milk this hard for what its worth. Who cares who we alienate (long term players) just as long as we are bringing in and squeezing out as much money as we can. Anything else be damned.

Dupers put +2 ins con augment for 15 shards on A$AH, if not duping it would sell for 500+.
I can afford duped augment, I couldn't afford non duped one.
So I don't care for dupers duping or not.

BTW, if people will continue to discuss duping, dupers and exploits, this thread will be locked.
So please go on, because limiting people to log in once per 3 days to play game for 20 minues is bad idea.

The raid would be run a lot, especially on higher diffs, if people were not duping their mats.
TF is best in slot for pretty much every build. Rerun it 60 times for every build change where weapon or spell focus changes - wohoo.
And if you ran it a lot you would notice the first part is not half as bad as people make it to be. I'm not saying it's great, but a decent group starts the end fight after 10 minutes.

What's really sad is people with 2x Tier3 TF weapons coming into your group and they have no clue what's going on in the raid.

That is sad, lately I have noticed people who haven't played the game in 7 months are walking around with 2 tier 3's as well, not to mention 200 hours of sovereign pots....

A much more likely scenario is more people moving on to a different game.

Or noticing like me that one can easily get tier 2 without grinding the hell out of the raids.

I made a thread including math(tm) that showed droprates between the ingrediences are way off, but no one seems to care (I wonder why...ASAH prices seem to be fine I guess).
I think 20-30 runs should be enough to craft a complete tier 3. But since ingot droprate is so off, you need in the range of 50-60 runs, while having way to many phlogs and scales.

Maybe that's to encourage running wilderness?\
I know those chest gives low amount of ingots, but I think they should be buffed (a lot), and runs needed to craft would be fine.

No matter how many mats you buy, you still need phlogs to finish. Hence those raids are still being run. Yes, not like the MoD raid, with it's countless repetitions. But they were back when they were new. Now they have become like any other raid - no rush, run them when you can.

Yes, that affected everyone. Yes, it's pretty annoying. Yes, it should be addressed. And, yes! The Walking Dead rules. Have you watched Z-nation? It's ok, too. Good story, great action, mediocre acting and directing.

Yes, what the Shadow Dragon raid really needs is 4 more floors of puzzles. Because there aren't enough puzzles. So it just needs more and more and more and more and more and more and more.

The Fire Dragon raid was more fun when the other dragon didn't flee but bombarded the players with her breath weapon. Now the raid doesn't make any sense at all with it's "Oh, my lover and I are getting beaten horribly! I'll just fly up into the sky, leaving fatty here to die --aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!" If the bombardment was too damaging, it could have been toned down rather than entirely removed. It was an interesting mechanic.
