My Friend Points

Points passed away last night. I don't know what else to say. I wasn't with him but it sounds like his family was.

During the primary years of my being Guild Leader to Fellowship of the Golden Night he was our second in command. Our Seneschal. He was also someone I looked up to so much that I originaly jokingly adopted him has my father 58-59, because I must admit to adopting the parents of my friends and treating them with the same respect has I have for my own parents.

Points and his two sons have been a great joy to me. Great players, great people, great friends. I've had the joy of raiding, questing, lounging around and just chatting away till late in the night with them all. I also cherish the short time when I got to travel and see them all in person. Watching one of his sons marry. Sitting at a drive in movie. Eatting and drinking way to much American food. All that time just chatting away, talking about character build and story ideas. I still remember getting in from my flight and even though I was up for over 36hours I didn't want to go to sleep. I just wished to keep talking to Points. So many ideas and cool thoughts. So many things I just wanted to pick his mind with. He was great with that.

To Points I am forever greatful. While I fumbled and struggled, trying to take on the new roll of guild leader, he managed to carry us all and showed me how to stand up and take things like a proper adult. Most times he was kind with this, allowing me to find my way. Some days he used the stick and got me to stop dragging my feet and take action. The bumps and scraches hurt but I'm rather thankfull for the lessons the scars have thought me. You made me a better person Points. Thank you for that, Lord Cupcake. Thank you so much Father 58-59. Thank you, Rex.
I'll always have a place for you in my heart and mind.
May you forever be awesome.

Points DeWay (iscifi on these forums, Cap'n T-Rex elsewhere) was indeed one of the best. I will miss his warmth and compassion, his strength and support, his sense of fun and his writing skills, and most of all his friendship. The years I knew him are a treasure I will keep safe in my heart, and he will be greatly missed by all the people he touched on his way through this life. See you in the next one, Points... safe travels.
