Still is not working correctly. I now have all the correct extra pieces, but I still have the same "starter/stonedust" base skin, and not the chain/plate hybrid.

First test after hotfix, 100% success. Colors retained, base skin retained, Extras the same.

To HAL, I believe that armor is still possible, look in the magecraft fullplates, (armor ML class determines the base skin and extras are random) Getting a desaturated metal color might be harder now that the kits don't strip the color out. Edit: Yeah it's definitely there, just buy a few "Battle" fullplates on the auction house, the "Battle" armortype (Items ML10 or under I believe) has the silver/steel base skin, once you get up into "Mountain" type, it turns yellow (This is where you can find a nice red/gold ironman suit :P)

Now I'm curious about something. Anyone remember how some armors used to have two different color schemes if you toggled the show "cosmetic armor" slot while it was empty? Do the armors that are still having issues have this feature? That could explain the color swap.

As a test maybe try removing your cosmetic armor and toggling the slot on and off to see if your appearance changes?

I have the same problem that DougGlyndwyr has.

I bought a new mirror today after the hotfix (right after my refund arrived for the one I bought Monday).

I used it on the same armor. The outer layer is correct but the "jumpsuit" is still wrong.

    Picture shows it best:

    Conn Niall Paladin
    Cormac Mac Airt Ranger/Rogue
If it is a Paladin with some version of Conn.... it is probably me.

I bought the item on DDO Store and created a copy of my "Captain's Chapeau" they are the same hat but the color of the feather changed colors from Forest Green to silver, or white-ish. The under cloth changed as well, same color change. This would have been ok if it was a black hat, but it is brown. Now to correct the problem I have to buy a black hat die at the store, which I really don't have the TP for. Is there a way to correct the hat to make it back to the original color, or at least to add a black dye to my inventory to correct the error? I am not sure how to send you a copy of the pictures, there doesn't seem to be an attachment link here. https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=DEF3E...EA8450D%212319 I don't know if you can get to the link or not.

I'm a little confused with your statements but are you saying the mirror changed the color of your original item as well or just the cosmetic item? If your original item is fine and it is just the cosmetic item, contact a gm or account support and have them reimburse you for the purchase of the Mirror which did not work correctly, forget about a hat dye because that will not work on the cosmetic item only on the original Captain's Chapeau. If the Mirror changed the color not only of the cosmetic but also of your original item, Turbine has bigger problems, again you would need to contact account support for help to reimburse you for Mirror and to fix your original item.

No. Docents, along with weapons and shields, are features we expect to release in future game updates.

You, sir, do have excellent taste in armour, however.

    A couple of questions:

    1. Has anyone had this happen to them on new randomly-generated armor?
    2. For folks with the +5 Full Plate, does this armor have Adamantine on it by any chance (as a property, not added by the ritual?)
    3. Has anyone had this experience after today's hotfix with named armors?

The + Mithral Deathblock is an old one. Haven't tried new ones yet.
Mine has no addy put on it.
No problems before the update with Hero's or Leaves, had a problem with Murky and Lurky stealing the colours of my Elf Craft Plate f/ Gianthold before update.

    Will try Shadowmail after errands.

Thanks. The coloring issue should be fixed after today's hotfix, along with the issue where some bits of armor weren't displaying (say, a backpack, or a pauldron.) We are still investigating the issue where the "base" armor changes its look entirely.

As others have reported, the 10/3/14 hotfix only seems to be correcting the top layer of these armors. In my case the breastplate is now colored correctly and appropriately detailed as is the right shoulder (left side of the image)…..but everything from the ribcage down (torso and legs) plus the arms is still the same washed out look using the wrong model.

You are getting close Turbine.. Don't give up. We have so many cool old armors stock piled just for the mirror.

Default +5 Hide Armor after Hotfix

The +5 Legacy Hide Armor rendered far better but the underlying skin and color palette are still off.
The below photo illustrates the Original- the Mirrored copy before the Hotfix, and Mirrored copy after Hotfix.
Better...but still not the Unique look I am striving to acquire.

Suggestion: fire up lama-land (with hotfix applied, of course) so interested people can test everything they've got and give you far more reports far more easily.
