The Raven’s Guard is a relatively new guild on the scene; we aren’t a founder’s guild, nor do we have a long history of successful raid leading, and probably aren’t as well-known on the server as many other guilds are. We don’t have a strict structure or well defined officer roles, and we certainly don’t have a strong presence in the forums. We don’t have the ever popular drama that comes with competing interests and immature players, and we don’t have a huge pool of inactive players that usually come with older guilds, or those with questionable recruiting tactics.

What we do have, however, is a very small group of people who enjoy playing DDO, each having a strong passion for the game. Each of us have something we really enjoy in the game; whether it’s learning the Heroic and Epic level content, running epics and looking for the last couple pieces of gear to complete a character build, or Guild leveling, and Tring.

The RG Pitch:
We present an opportunity for players to come into a guild where they can forge ahead with their own goals and interests, while at the same time have a group of folks with whom they can collaborate with, run quests, and learn content , and yes, dare I say it… grind out some TR’s with. We are flexible, goal oriented, passionate about DDO, and have a strong desire to build our little organization into something that will someday be looked back upon as being a great experience.

Our Resources:

• After a painful amount of renown grinding and ASAH farming/ deal swapping and trading, we have been able to bring the guild up to a comfortable level, and purchase a Daedalean Kraken airship. We have millions of Plat in the guild bank, but we’re still working on upgrading all the AS buffs; that’s a bit of a work in progress.
• We have all the legacy ship buffs (5% XP shrine included), and a fully stocked large chest packed with goodies for new and vet players alike.
• Guild crafter capable of crafting most things you might need for special occasions
• 6 strips of ever cooking and never depleting Bacon, a nice juicy Ham ready for eating, and not to mention the 3 hot tubs
• Every other Wednesday we have a group of masseuses and masseurs (your choice) with hot scented oils and well-practiced hands, come to the ship to massage your aching backs, and get you ready for your next big adventure!
• The best is left for last, of course. The best and most valuable resource we have as a guild are the people that make it up. We have a ship, decent guild level, money in the bank, extensive resources, all of which don’t really matter if the people involved in it aren’t quality people.
• We recruit for personality first, and skill second. Skill can and will improve over time, but without people of character, we might as well hang it up and play some other three lettered MMO.

Our Rules:

• Members must be 18 or older
• Rude or derogatory behavior will not be tolerated
• Language while in PuGs should be PG13
• We do not have a minimum renown per day rule
• All players must maintain an active status at all times
• Must display an adult level of maturity

• Favor Farmers from other servers: Not OK (need players to be active)
• Zergers: Eh…
• Flower Sniffers: Eh…
• Chronic Soloers: Eh…

The Process:
We have a process for all new folks to go through; it isn’t overly long or confusing, but it’s something we believe is necessary to help us screen out those who might not possess the character we look for in members.

• First, go to our guild web site at http://www.theraven.co/guild (yes, it is .co, not .com) and fill out an application. You don’t need to create an account on the guild website to submit the form, just click on the link that says: Guild Application
• Second, once the application is competed, you will need to go to the guild forums to register. This is so you can interact with other members that might not be logged in at the time. The link to the forums is located in the main navigation on the guild site, on the application, and on the message after you submit the application.
• Third, is to get in contact with the guild leader; don’t worry; I’m on every night for at least 2 hours. If I’m not there, then you can get in contact with any other member. I can also be contacted through the DDO forums, or the contact form on the guild site.
• Fourth, once we feel comfortable that you are a good fit for the guild, and feel comfortable that you will stick around for a while, we’ll have a short hazing ceremony (just kidding… sort of), and bring you into the fold.
