    Default Alliances

    Alliances

    4 Alliances on each server.

Each Guild is assigned to an alliance.

    Assign guilds by renown.
Highest renown assigned to alliance A. Second highest renown assigned to alliance B and so on.
By having all the top guilds separated would help keep the alliances competitive.
New guilds automatically assigned to an alliance.

Guilds could join forces without losing their renown and keep their individuality.

When forming groups. Let your guild know first then open it up to your alliance and last pug the rest.

    Events
Turbine could have events that would give prizes to alliance’s that won. For example have a weekend event that most saga’s completed on epic elite difficulty, or most raids ran on epic elite, most overall xp obtained by an alliance, or the alliance with the most characters completing epic elite Fall of Truth raid in an alliance will win a prize.

Prizes could consist of 20% extra xp for a the next weekend. Each account in the alliance could win consumables, unique pet, cosmetics, turbine points, and the ideas are endless.

If they make the contests difficult it would help in selling turbine points by people buying cakes and bypass timers etc…

By having the most characters completing an event would have people helping each other out and old characters would be taken out of storage and brought up to usefulness.

They could have leader boards for everyone to see and check out what place there alliance is at.

Would like to hear your thoughts.

    Thanks

While I appreciate the effort and thought you put into your idea, I'm going to have to strongly disagree.

The idea of my guild being "dictated" as to what alliance we should belong to solely based upon our renown numbers makes me ill.

Many "high renown" guilds are not similar in any way. Many "lower renown" guilds are better than the "high renown" guilds. Forcing guilds to be within alliances without their choice would not provide anyone any benefit.

Self-controlled alliances (we decide who goes into them), that might be something worth considering.

I'd much rather see more effort placed into the existing channels system and allow people to make their own decisions as to who they run with and when.

This post has nothing to do with channels, where friends of different guilds play together.

This post is about bringing competition to the end game, either between guilds, uniting guilds or servers competing against each other.

    For example:
If they had a competition where the alliance with the most characters completed Epic Elite Deathwyrm, Thunder Peak and Fall of Truth, won a worthwhile prize, let’s say each account that participated and had a character complete all three and won the completion receives 2000 turbine points. This would create buzz in the game and give the elite players something to do.

Teams would have to be separated evenly. How that is done is up for debate. However people would not be able to form their own teams that would exclude a lot of players and wouldn’t work. For those who do not want to play with others can stay in their cave and do not have to participate.

No one is obligated to participate however the teams who are open to playing with a diverse player base and have the best leadership skills on helping other people out would have best chance of winning.

People would be calling their friends in their guild who are not playing and getting them back in the game to help them win.
Turbine points would be spent on old characters getting them up to snuff and to win the competition.
No one would care about pay to win because those people would be helping everyone on their team.
It would give players who have done everything something to do between updates.
Player who would never have the opportunity to run the end raids on elite would get the opportunity.

Some people will be extremely opposed to this idea. However they do not have to participate.

The idea that Turbine would implement something like this is extremely remote. However it would be nice to see Turbine implement something to combat the TR train everyone is on and implement some kind of end game.

No thanks and I would resent the dev time spent on it as its something I have less than zero interest in

    Sounds interesting.

    Why exactly 4?

You mean force people into alliances whether they want to or not? You mean we don't get to pick our alliances? You mean force people to ally with others they might not like, and prevent people from allying with their actual friends and such?

NEVER! I'd rather have no alliances at all than that kind of grief-inducing situation.

That's not what you said in your first post. You specifically said all guilds are forced to participate. Did I miss where you revised your proposal to take out all that forced-alliance stuff?

    Seems arbitrary but whatever.

    No.

    They can already do that.

My thoughts? You've failed to provide anything compelling here. This is a both a pointless and bad idea as presented.
