Installing Pre-reqs...................

It's been a while since I had this issue, but the old stuck on "Installing pre-reqs" has turned up again for me.
The launcher just sits there installing it's pre-reqs and.... nothing happens. I seem to be able to get onto Lammaland with no dramas though.

Not sure how to fix it. Any ideas Customer support peeps?

I am also stuck at the loading pre-reqs screen. Any advice? Well I guess theyre r no employees on back to neverwinter ill call in the morning and talk to a human and whine if its still broken.

It is a bad thread in some system process not allowing it to continue. Reboot your computer.

Hi. Thanks for the advice any and all appreciated. I tried that ten times no result. I also did a restore to a week ago with no result. Also tried running as administrator no result. I'm about to try in a safe mode with networking see if that it. I also tried disabling my firewall and anti viral software and had no luck. i suspect a local connection issue i don't think its on my end. I'm a long ways from the East Coast. This has happened many times in the past but the lack of other people with the same issue makes me a little worried. Thanks again appreciate it. On a side not I logged on at 4ish est and had no problems shut down went back to work got off at 8ish est and its been stuck since. Checked the log nothing happened between the the two events.

Thank you for the feedback. We are investigating an issue overnight that impacted some (but not all) logins both for DDO and LOTRO, it looks like, so that may explain what you experienced as well.

There are two ways of running as Admin:
1. You right click context menu, Run as Admin.
2. You log onto the computer as Admin.

Whats the diff? Oh boy, sometimes things need sub processes to be higher, sometimes things silently fail, sometimes they prompt for action, etc. Its the best situation of a big mess.

Anyway, thought I would through that out there, to try logging on as Admin and running the game. Remember, the default locations of saved info, game info, ini files, etc may be different when running as admin.

Cheers. I was able to get back in with no dramas around 24hrs later. Can't explain it from this end, but alls well in the end.

Whenever I have Installing Pre-reqs I do this:
1) open Firefox (or Google Chrome) and wait until it opens a homepage (which is www.google.com for me), it takes like 10 secs (yes, it takes THAT long when I have Installing Pre-reqs in DDO)
2) then open new DDO launcher (should be no Installing Pre-reqs this time)
This works for me 98% of time.
I believe it's a problem on my providers end, but could be my router, and definitely it's not DDO (unless it's what breaks my router ).
Anyway, just sharing what works for me.

I was having this issue up until few days ago. Rebooted pc and nothing. Seems to come and go as well, luckily haven't had it happen again, yet.
