    The journey begins!

Instigators new life a fleshy pure fighter has begun. Not going to judge any performance now, as well harbor quests are a poor platform to judge on.

    One point of afterthought...

I am considering dropping the THF line, sticking with Khopesh and picking up CE, Imp Trip and one other feat. Not sure about the last feat, maybe Imp Sunder?

been planning a pure human fighter myself.

i would be doing a thf w/ ranged option and the ap are really really tight, definitely cant get quite everything i want. spending most points in kensei, and roughly equal between human, stalwart, vanguard, and harper to get as much str and dcs as possible. sounds like your build will be even more stretched ap wise, even though you clearly are not going with int for dcs.

as for khopeshes vs bastards swords, afaik the glancing blows result in more effective hits -> more dps. might want to go with dwarven axes though if youll be spending more of your time in dreadnaught, as dwarven axes will have more effective hits than bastard swords even before headsmans chop.
You are but a lamb, ignorant of your own ignorance. You no longer interest me.

    Thanks for your feedback!

AP will be a stretch for sure, I'll have to wait for U23 to launch before I can really dig into those and settle on anything. (I couldn't get Lamma to download so I didn't get a chance to play with it there).

Well if discussing Khop vs Bastard vs DAxe...the best choice it seems would be to make a dwarf with daxes. That would probably be a stronger choice, although it would mean even less AP to play with as the dwarf tree has much more to offer.

id still go human even if using dwarven axes.

more power per ap spent in racial tree, less ap to spend in racial tree, extra feat, extra skill points, not short.

dorf is cool, but just a flavor choice imo.

If it was me I wouldn't because once U23 arrives those 3 THF feats will grant 30 Melee Power in total which is a big chunk of DPS.

Not in this case. He gets the same MP from the shield feats. Having both doesn't stack, since they are both combat bonus to melee power, so dropping THF line would only lose the glancing blow damage.

I stand corrected then I didn't know that the shield feats grant MP so that's good to know

    10 melee power in total not 30, they reduced the amount to 3 - 3 - 4.

Its not really a "protest build" as its just another build that will take advantage of the new enhancment lines for fighter . Grateful to the community for all the drive and to Turbine for finally making it happen. I do look forward to seeing what ya come up with Braegan. Ill be respecing my fighter too.

Ok well kinda hard to keep leveling Instigator and work on Falses' ERs but got Instigator back up to level 22. Playing around a bit with the new tree and resetting a lot, lol. But here is a draft of enhancements right now.

    Human 5 points

    Damage Boost
    Con I
    Heal Amp I

    Kensei 42 points

    All cores and capstone
    Haste Boost III
    Action Boost III
    Tactics III
    Crit Hit III
    Crit Damage III
    Weapon Spec I-IV
    Keen Edge
    Exotic Weapon Mastery
    Str I
    Str I

    Vanguard 33points

    All cores except capstone
    Shield Spec I-IV
    Brutality III
    Shield Smash II
    Stunning Shield III
    Fatal Bulwark
    Missile Shield III
    Myrmidon's Edge III
    Str I
    Str I

Still playing around a lot with it. But after a few resets this is what I am gonna run for at least a few days. Feedback is always welcome.

Gotta ask...what are you doing for self healing? Or are you playing with a static group to include a healer who likes to heal?

Well, guess I felt it was more protest like as when I was leveling up all I saw was a mass of paladins, heh. Surely there are some that held onto their fighters and are going to respec some, but very few actively TR'd into a pure fighter with the changes known to be coming soon.

So I was trying to reconfig gear and have come up with a basis. Please let me know if I missed anything and/or alternate ideas.

    Head) Minos Vitality 40[45], Fort 150%, Sheltering 24[30], - [Ins Con +3]
Neck) Vim and Vigor Str +11, HP 40 [45], Natural Armor 9[10], green slot: Protection +8?
Trinket) E Litany +2 Profane Stats, Blue Slot: Globe of True Blood
Cloak) GS Smoke II +45 HP Blurry/Displace Clicky
    Belt) Battleragers
Ring) Dun Robar Ins Str +2, Dodge 8%, CM +5
Ring) Avithoul Ins Dex +2, S/A, Imp Deception
    Gloves) Claw Heal Amp
Boots) Innocent Resistance +11, Speed XV, Vertigo/Stunning/Shatter +12, GH, Yellow Slot: Draconic Soul Gem
    Bracers) Claw Ins Con +2
Chest) TF Guardian DR 30, Deathblock, Ghostly
Goggles) Mentau Dex +11, UMD +5, Seeker +10, Excep Seeker +2, Blue slot: Good Luck +2

Weapon) TF Khopesh 1st degree burns/dragons edge (still tier 2 ) Ruby Eye of Tempest Slotted
Shield) PDK +10 Con, +10 Cha, Purple Slot 114 Devotion

The [] represents if I get ahold of a Mythic Version of both Minos and Vim and Vigor.

I have plenty of slots open, of which I would slot Wis +8, Mana, Fear Immunity, maybe Golems Heart if I get my hands on one.

So far only thing I think I am missing is Deadly.

    Am I overlooking anything else?

    cheers and/or jeers are welcome!
    Git off mah lawn!

If, If's and But's was Candies and Nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas.
