Dead Fansite Links on ddo.com

I created a new blog for DDO Content and I submitted it for approval on https://www.ddo.com/forums/forumdisp...e-Applications.

I checked the Fansite page at https://www.ddo.com/en/community/fansites and more than half of the links are dead or haven't been updated in years. One of the rules to maintain status as a fansite is that "Content must be updated on at least a monthly basis." I plan on updating my DDO blog on a weekly basis indefinitely but something has to be done to cleanup the Fansite page as it is a graveyard at this point.

I didnot check but I trust you. It hides the active ones and is misleading. It takes 1 hr to update a page like that. Sloppy.

We've tended to be lenient, under the thought that there is still plenty of good information to be had in some of the sites that have not been updated in some time, but you are correct that it's time to update the Fansite list. I'll put it on my to-do list.

Thanks for the reply Cordovan! Maybe just create an archived section on that site? That way the old ones do not disappear

Thanks, Jerry. There is probably no point in having a History section of the Fansite page as about 40% of all of the links are actually gone, not just dormant. When someone clicks on the page link, an error is displayed.

Everyone check out http://ddocentral.wordpress.com. I made the blog this weekend to compile all of the DDO websites that are still active, including social media sites related to DDO. I will check the lists every three months or so to remove dead links so that we have an accurate resource for the game. If anyone would like to see active websites that I have not listed on the blog (I am still researching websites that could be placed on the blog), please e-mail ddocentral@gmail.com.

Yeah, I've noticed this before as well. Be nice if the links there all worked.

Moving the wiki to the top sure would be convenient.

Also, could we get links to the Cannith Crafting Planner and the Greensteel Crafting Planner on the redux.

I agree with that, too many links dead, but please, dont remove the mine, taking a little break until October, (in holidyas right now) where I will re-activate my VIP subscription. and the web. I will let you know personally when I close the Witch in the Woods.
