Default Looking for a staff build to try without Monk

I don't have Monk, so please no monk builds.

I would prefer to stay half-orc. I currently have 3 Barbarian past lives and if i tr again would have a rogue past life. I have a lot of Q staffs, so would prefer to stay with Q staffs for damage. Should I go pure rogue? O r go a heavy fighter splash with a few rogue levels for traps? I do have some decent Rogue gear for him.

Or just delete and concentrate on my other characters, **** alt-itis.

I have a 15 druid 5 rogue staff build performs nicely and has good heals. Can do some trapping but not everything.

See my Halfling Acrobat thread for an example of a pure rogue staff build. What are you looking for besides DPS from swinging a big stick?

Maybe a pala/rogue hybrid? For two handers paladin is very nice, it'll grant cleave and great cleave, healing, high saves, divine might, healing amp...
It should perform very well after update 23, but I cannot suggest you a build in detail

Mostly just something different to try.

I might just turn him into a Drow stick build and take advantage of Drow's bonus to dex, int and cha. Just for something different.

The way things are on Lamma, Paladin15/Rogue5 will be pretty good.

Maybe Rogue5/WizardX? Robot or undead (i'd recomend min Wizard12 for Wraith). A couple of nice things in new Harpers tree. Good damage, buffs, solid survivability, even a nuke or two.

Holy Sword means you don't need Staff Spec anymore, unless you want to use your 2nd lvl 4 spell slot for something else. That opens up other MCing possibilities, like rog 3 / pal 15 / ftr 2.

I had an idea for a monkless Bladeforged staff build in U23: rog 13 / wiz 3 / pal 4. Rog 13 for Kip Up and two feats (Imp Defensive Roll & Opportunist or Imp Evasion); wiz 3 for free metamagic (Quicken), Arcane Barrier, and Archmage SLAs (Illusion for Invis & Blur); pal 4 for defensive stance & Div Might, plus whatever else I can squeeze in.

One of the things I like about DDO is all the different build possibilities.
