Default Purple Dragon Knight's Set intentionally redundant????

    This:

Ancient Gemstone Docent has Constitution +7 Enchantment
Purple Dragon Helm has Constitution +7 Enchantment

    That's some sucky redundancy

The Ancient Gemstone works with all sets - it's not redundant for all of them. If you are upset about this, you can (as mentioned above) go for the Stone Heart.
DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.

None of the other sets had redundancy that I could find. Something like this IMO seems to be a Dev oversight.

It's because the only real docent for level 20 is the red dragon one. Everything else is designed so you know which one is the good one
Bought my first dungeon master's guide in 1992. My favourite part of ddo is coffee and slayers
